Afternoon naps and cupboards

After another exhausting night the girls and I are a little tired today.  Not normally ones for afternoon, or for that matter any time naps, I was not hopefully that I would be able to catch up on any sleep during the day.  A slight miracle occured though and we had an hour nap.

It may not seem like a lot but when your total evening sleep is 2 hours an hour is just what is needed to refresh and recharge.  We had a lovely nap all together

woke up

Due to a wonderful catch up on some sleep, I managed to get a dinner cooked.  The girls entertained themselves by opening my kitchen cupboards.  They can only open certain ones due to child locks on some, but I think its good to let them explore others, although my eldest took the exploring to a new meaning

hiding

My youngest loves the fact she can use her baby walker to walk over and open the doors.  She was not expecting to find her sister hiding behind this door though and it did take her a bit by surprise.  It was lovely watching them play together.

This day I love afternoon naps and cupboards.

  4. That looks exactly like my old kitchen and I have a photo of GG sitting inside the cupboard. It was full of cups and old plastic bottles. It was a pain to clear up every night, but the peace was worth it at the time!

  7. I always get told off by my boss if I try to have a nap in the afternoon.

I'm intrigued about what's in that large, yellow tin at the bottom of the second picture...

    1. I seem to remember someone telling me if you fall asleep at work that they are not allowed to wake you. Not sure how true that is. The yellow tin is khoresh gheimeh. Are you more intrigued now?
