Bravery

Today was a day to be brave.  9 years ago on this day my younger sister fell asleep, I remember every minute of that day like it was yesterday.  I needed to be brave, I needed to be strong for my girls.  They are too young to understand.  They came with me and my Mum to the grave.  In some ways it made it easier having them there.  My eldest wanted to help with the flowers and they were both ever so good

When we came home I needed to keep busy to take my mind off things.  I love to be outdoors and so I spent the afternoon with the girls in the garden.  My eldest helped me plant some plants

planting

It was incredibly hard work as I had to move the pebbles in order to plant, but I hope it will all be worth it when the plants grow and the garden starts to attract wildlife.

Whilst digging we came across a worm.  My eldest loves animals when they are far away but if they come up close she gets very scared.  The same happened with the worm.  I picked it up to show her it was ok, she slowly came round to the idea.  After a few minutes she asked if she could hold the worm.  This was incredibly brave for my daughter to do

holding the worm

I am ever so proud of her for doing so.  She did not want to put the worm back into the ground.  After a long question and answer on the worm she finally agreed to put him back to look after the plants.

This day I love Bravery
