golden eggs

We ventured to the farm today.  It was bitterly cold outside and the girls did not want to stay out for very long.  My eldest daughter was ever so excited in the car to be going to the farm but after a few minutes in the cold wind she wanted to come home.

We took part in the golden egg hunt, which helped to take her mind off the cold weather for a little while at least.  We had to find the golden eggs, hidden near an animal, based on the clues.

We then wrote where we had seen the egg down

We did manage to find all 12 golden eggs and collected our prize of chocolate at the end.  My girls had had enough by this point, so we came home to get warm.  It took me quite some time to regain feeling in my fingers they had got so cold.

We did have a lovely time on the farm despite the cold weather.  I wish it had been just a little warmer so we could have stayed longer to enjoy some more of the animals

This day I love golden eggs.

  2. It has been bitterly cold, so I can't blame the girls for wanting back into the warm. The farm looks great though and the egg hunt looks brilliant. Hopefully some warmer weather is on the way soon.

  3. An Easter Egg hunt at the farm is lots of fun, I can vouch for that one! It looks like those farm animals are doing really well and I bet they are glad to be indoors. I hope it warms up for them and you soon. Thanks for linking up.
