twigs and leaves

This weekend has probably been the first weekend this year that we have been able to get into the garden to start tidying up.  Tidying up is what we did, well we made a start.  We went around picking up the twigs

 and then the leaves

We made some 'leaf' castles which my eldest thought was loads of fun.  We explored the leaves for the many creatures that maybe inside and we found this

We found some lovely creepy crawlies and my eldest loved watching them.

After some exploring and filling up a huge bag of leaves the girls and I had a play in the garden

After all the bouncing and tidying up we had a lie down on the trampoline and looked up at the Oak tree to watch for birds

This day I love twigs and leaves

  4. A lovely afternoon together in the garden. It won't be long before you are looking up at that same oak through a covering of green leaves. I hope you will share that same picture then.

  7. It's fab that you are encouraging your girls to be interested in insects. So many parents have an irrational fear of insects and pass it on to their kids. Lovely photos :)
