A Bonnie Bank Holiday

After a rather long journey due partly to bank holiday traffic and an accident which closed the road for 5 hours we arrived in Bonnie Scotland to enjoy our Bank holiday weekend together.  We were staying at the Drimsynie Estate Holiday village near Lochgoilhead.  The holiday was booked over a year ago and the girls were excited to be on holiday with Grandma and Grandad.

Lochgoilhead is simply breath taking.  It was so peaceful and we just wanted to spend our time admiring the view.

Needless to say we spent our bank holiday walking and exploring Lochgoilhead and the surrounding area.  The girls and the dogs loved exploring the shores and splashing in the Loch

Exploring Lochgoilhead

It was lovely to watch the dogs so happy, running around and jumping through the water.  Stopping to dig or follow the scent of some creature.  You could see the delight on both their faces as they explored and ran.

The fresh air and the exploring agreed with the girls too.  They loved exploring the shoreline and looking at all the different shells

The girls didn't want to leave.  They loved having Grandma and Grandad staying with us.  It was lovely just to have some time with each other.

On our journey home we stopped at Invernary.  This is a lovely little fishing town which has some beautiful shops and a castle.

Castle at Invernary

We chose not to go and explore inside the castle but it did look stunning.  The village had lots of lovely shops and museums but with a 5 hour journey ahead of us we decided to have some cake and then set off back.  Well it would be rude not to the cake looked fantastic!

We had such a wonderful holiday, peaceful and also gave us the chance to get out and explore.  The girls are already asking when they can go to Scotland again.

This day I love A Bonnie Bank Holiday
