Dettol 'keep the memories'

Every minute of every day approximately 50 babies are born into poverty. They will experience conditions lacking in basic essentials including clean hygienic blankets. Dettol Antibacterial laundry cleanser has teamed up with Sparks, the UK children's medical research charity, to donate baby blankets to underprivileged children.

By washing baby blankets, or clothes, in Dettol antibacterial laundry cleaner we can eradicate the bacteria found on blankets. It has been shown that a wash at 40c without laundry cleanser there are a variety of bacteria on blankets including coliforms, a group of bacteria linked to faeces.

Dettol would like mums to donate their baby blankets via a Freepost address they will be hygienically washed and distributed to families, as well as donating £1 to Sparks for every blanket collected.

I remember bringing my girls home in their blankets. They still have them on their beds and love to cuddle them at night. This is such a great campaign to be involved with and I hope you can donate a blanket.
