Review : Cicciobello Sunny

Spring is officially here and with that there is a hope that the warmer weather is just around the corner. As the warm, sunny weather approaches it is important to teach children the importance of staying safe in the sun. Cicciobello Sunny is a doll like no other, and helps with this important message.

Cicciobello Sunny comes with some accessories to help him stay safe in the sun. Sunglasses, sun cream and a UV pendant. The UV pendant changes colour dependant on the amount of UV exposure, and there is a matching watch for children too.

The girls really like wearing the watch and tell all their friends about it helps them to stay safe in the sun. We have spoken to them about what the different colours mean, and that when we are in the sun we wear sun cream and a hat and glasses.

When Cicciobello Sunny goes into the sunlight his skin changes colour as if to tan. This is a great message for the girls as it shows them the importance of putting on sun cream.

Even on winter days when there was little sun light the UV watch still changes colour. This has been fantastic to show them that even if the sun does not seem bright it is still important to stay safe in the sun.

Apply sunscreen regularly and with a SPF of over 30. Remember to apply 20 minutes before going out.
Wear sunglasses
Take frequent breaks by going indoors
Wear a hat
Cover up as much as possible
Drink plenty of water, do not wait until thirsty.

Cicciobello Sunny has been great for teaching the girls about sun safety. The visual UV band and the ability for Cicciobello Sunny to tan helps to show the girls the dangers of the suns rays and how to stay safe when playing outside.
