Chatsworth Country Fair

Chatsworth Country Fair was back this year and we could not wait to attend.  Last year we had a fantastic day out and this year promised to be just as good.

The layout was the same as the previous year and the girls remembered the second we drove into the car park and began to get very excited.  There first request was to tackle the assault course from the previous year.

Stronger and older than before they tackled the course in super speed

Chatsworth Country fair has a wide variety of food stalls selling food.  The girls sampled cheese, meats, olives and pickles.  They chose a deer pie for dinner and spent most of their money on homemade fudge.  With the last of their pennies in their pocket they headed to the fairground.  My youngest now brave enough to attempt the Helter Skelter.

She absolutely loved it!

I do have to say a big thank you to the NCT who had a caravan available with space to change nappies, feed babies and generally unwind.  Without them Little Man would have been subjected to a muddy field or the floor of a portaloo!  They were incredibly helpful and even let the girls have a rest and a play, oh and a biscuit or two!

We watched cookery demonstrations, marvelled at the amazing crafts on sale and my youngest was mesmerised by all the different dog breeds walking past.  We watched a bird of prey show were the birds flew off into the trees, dogs doing agility and dancing.  Our favourite by far was watching the Red Arrows!

Chatsworth Country fair was on over 3 days and if you wanted to visit everything you would need all three days.  It is a great day out for the family and clearly something for everyone.  I wonder if the girls will be able to do the assault course even faster next year?

We were given press passes to attend, all words are my own opinion
