This day I love.......

Having moved house almost a year ago I decided it was about time we put our own stamp on the place and begin decorating.  The room I wanted to start with was the play room.  This is the room we spend most of our time in, if we are not outdoors.  The girls play here and we watch TV together, read stories, it is our family room.

I heard about the nursery paint company and was eager to try out their paint, for the following reasons:
  • It is made from natural soya beans, there are no chemicals used in their paint.  This means no VOC.  No harmful chemicals to breathe in ever.
  • It is antibacterial, 99.9% of pathogens are unable to live on the walls after it has been painted, creating a safe environment
  • the colour choice was great
  • The paint looked luxurious
  • It is British made
I had a discount to purchase some paint and after a lot of changing my mind I finally settled on 'Walk in the Park'

The Paint arrived in an easy to open tin.  It had no smell to it, and looked really creamy, it poured lovely.

The room before had white walls, which were covered in faded areas and marks where the previous owners had had pictures.

After the first coat, the colour was really starting to look better, but was still a little patchy

But after the second coat the room looked perfect.

The paint really is top end luxury, you can tell this from the minute you open the tin and how the paint goes on the walls.  It covered really well and only needed two coats.  I still have over half a tin left!  I absolutely adore the colour its a really rich colour, I think rich is the best way to describe it but it gives the room its own character.  With two young children I have even tested the durability of the paint as I have had to wash crayon off the walls, this had not damaged the paint in anyway.  I would say this paint will last and is money well spent.  Now to choose the colour for my eldest bedroom, tough decision!
