This day I love.......

2013 has been a mixed sort of year.....

1 little girl turned 1 and became a toddler

It saw 2 girls have chicken pox and be rather ill.

3 peaks where almost conquered and one little girl turned 3.

It saw 4 months of MAT leave before Mummy returned to full time work

and 5 visits with the girls to London on the train

6 months of a Pushchair Trader VIP living with tester

We had 7 wonderful days on holiday in Cornwall [although it rained almost constantly]

8 hard weeks of Mummy working away from home with her new job.

9 months to wait until we visit Butlins after the surprise of finding out we are Butlins Ambassadors and yes we are still in shock!  We cannot wait!

10 obstacles overcome as I was chased by Zombies and raised money for charity

11 hours spent waiting for a tyre to be changed

But must of all it saw 12 months of two girls growing up and having fun

Thank you to all my family, friends and followers and I wish you all health and happiness for 2014.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year.

It has been rather a mixed day today.  The girls are still rather unsettled at night meaning my total sleep for last night amounted to 2 hours, and that was not all in one go.  With my zombie like state I felt like doing rather little today, but knew for the girls sake we needed to at least get out the house.

We took our dog for a short walk, as he is not very well at the moment.  My youngest fell asleep the second she got in the pram and my eldest chattered away with me telling me all the things she could see.  It was great to be out with them both and a wonderful way to start the new year.

Once we returned home my youngest, for reason known only to herself, decided to test out her balancing skills.  She crawled to the sofa and pulled to standing.  She promptly removed one hand and turned round whilst holding to the sofa with the other, she then let go.  With both hands up in the air by her head she grinned, wobbled for about 10 seconds and then fell down.  She thought this was so much fun that she kept doing it for about 20 minutes.  I was a nervous wreck every time she did it.

After she had finished doing this she wanted to play with her 'bop and roll' which she absolutely loves.  I just love the concentration on her face as she hits the balls in the hole and watches them whizz round

Bop and roll

My eldest was in a crafty mood and kept asking to stick things, as she waved a glue stick at me.  So we used the left over sweet wrappers from last nights celebrations to make a 2013 sign.

I have stuck this picture on the side of our fridge and then any pictures she does this year will go around this year picture.  I think the sweet wrappers give it a great textured looked.

We also made a crocodile and a cow which I am rather proud of

After a zombie like start to the morning I am rather proud with what we have achieved today, and hope the girls have a much better night sleep

This day I love Crocodile, Cow and sweet wrappers.

2012 has been an amazing year for me.  I want to start though with looking back on 2011 from July, helps to explain why 2012 was so great.

July 2011 saw my return to work following a year MAT leave with my eldest daughter.  The next few months saw some changes and incredibly stressful times.  The first in August as we put our house up for sale after finding our dream home closer to our family.  September/October saw my job be made redundant and frantically searching for another.  After several interviews, assessment centres, presentations and role plays I finally secured a job the week before Christmas.  Oh and not forgetting discovering that I would be having a baby.

2012 therefore was a welcome change and a lot less stressful.  I started my new job, although within the same company.  With the accumulation of holiday days plus training courses and meetings I worked a handful of days before MAT leave started.

Our dream house sold, the day before we sold ours.  We had the highest bid in an auction but the vendor would not sell to us so we lost another property we liked.  Then our dream house came back on the market, the original one we saw back in 2011.  We successfully managed to secure it and moved into it when our youngest was 2 weeks old exactly.

We had our first holiday as a family and our youngest had her first Christmas.  Our daughters are growing up so beautifully I cannot wait to watch them develop and see what 2013 brings for us as a family.

I want to wish all my followers a very happy new year and here is to the start of something new.
