This day I love.......

Now Little Man has turned 6 months he is able to join with us in one of our main loves, running.  My eldest loves to run and asks to come with me every weekend, my youngest enjoys it but I think her little legs get tired quicker so she is happier covering shorter distances.

I have already covered in detail the BOB revolution Pro in this post the only thing I have changed is to remove the carry cot, as Little Man is now big enough to sit up and needs the seat unit.  The fold and feel of the BOB is still the same, only now I use it for running.

The girls and Little Man accompanied me to the 5km parkrun course one Saturday morning to put BOB through ultimate paces, running with three children.

Running with the BOB was really easy as it is easy to manoeuvre.  The wrist strap is comfortable to wear and the brake on the handlebar is really convenient for hills!

Although I may look like I am pushing BOB, it never felt like I was pushing more as if it was gliding along with me.  The only time I really noticed was when my youngest grabbed hold as I had her weight pulling me back.

I love that we can all be together and get out running as a family.  The BOB revolution really is a dream to push and perfect for tackling any terrain.

Thanks to my friend Tim Hobbs for taking these photos and allowing me to use them.  Thanks to Britax for sending BOB revolution pro in exchange for this review, all words are my own opinion.

Before Little Man arrived I loved running and walking.  I enjoyed the freedom and space to think, as well as exploring and discovering new places.  I want to continue my love for exploring and discovering new places with Little Man, which means we need a pushchair to match.

Over the next few months we are putting the Britax Bob Revolution Pro through its paces.  The Revolution pro sounds perfect for our families needs.  As standard it is suitable for ages 6 months and over, however you are able to purchase the carry cot separately to make it suitable from birth.  If using the Cary cot you also need to buy the infant carry adaptor to enable the carry cot to be attached to the pushchair.

We have decided to do a series of posts and video on the Britax BOB revolution pro.  This first post will give an overview of the Revolution pro and its use with the carry cot.  A video will follow shortly which will detail how to fold and the BOB in use and then finally another post detailing how we are finding BOB for running.

The BOB revolution pro requires some assembly, the wheels need fastening which although simple to do is actually quite hard to ensure a secure grip.  Once assembled the brakes need testing to ensure a correct fit and air needs to be put into the tyres.

The BOB has a two stage fold, first folding the top half down before finally folding in half.  You do need to remove the carry cot first before folding, and if you wanted to make it more compact you could also remove the wheels.

The wheels on BOB are a good size and are air filled.  They can be filled with air as needed and are capable of tackling the toughest terrain, even sand,

For a large pushchair the BOB handles really well, the journey is smooth and the handling is light weight.  I am often surprised at how easy the BOB moves, as if gliding over the bumpy ground.

The BOB features two brakes, the first a foot brake is operated by lifting and lowering the bar.  As it is a solid bar it is easy to access as any point.

The second is a hand brake which is really handy if walking and I also imagine running, as it does stop the pushchair very quickly.  It is operated by squeezing the lever and works like a bike brake to stop the pushchair.

The wheels can also be removed by pulling forward the silver lever.

The carry cot adaptor is attached to the main frame of the BOB and can be detached by pressing the red button.  It simply slots into place and a click can be heard to say it is correctly positioned.  The bar can be left in place when folding.  The carry cot is then clicked on to this bar and sits over the main seat of the revolution pro.

Little man has lots of space inside the carry cot.  The hood is also a great size and provides lots of shade.  The carry cot comes with a rain cover.

Little man does like to kick the carry cot cover off.  The cover is attached at various points with velcro.

There is plenty of storage on BOB.  The basket is of a decent size, and we even put a few items on the seat as the carry cot is sat just on top, it allowed a small gap for storage.  There is also a gap by the base of the carry cot and the back of the seat, which is where I stored the rain cover.

The front wheel has two modes, sport or city and there is also a wrist strap on the handle bar

The Britax BOB revolution pro is perfect for exploring and for walks in the countryside.  It handles all terrains with ease, even sticky mud.

Grandma also loves pushing the revolution pro and finds it very lightweight to push.

The biggest fan thought is Little man who finds it so comfortable he falls asleep.

The Britax BOB revolution pro has given us the ability to explore as a family and enabled us to continue our love for the outdoors.  Little man is very happy in the carry cot and I am excited to try the revolution pro with the seat in a few months time and take Little man with my on a run!

All words are my own opinion. Thanks to Britax for sending the BOB revolution pro to review.

First I must apologies that my 365 is late.  A weekend of blogging conference and Illness meant I am only just able to sit up and type.

Sunday

eldest and mummy on training walk

Just over two weeks left [well one really its on Sunday] and then the big challenge will be here.  I will be walking the Yorkshire 3 peaks to raise money for Alzheimer's society.  I just want to say thank you to all those that have sponsored me so far via my Just giving badge [badge on blog] and helped me to raise over £200.  I will be aiming to tweet during the walk and you can follow me and Lisa [Hollybobbs] with #blogY3P.  A training walk with my daughter in the sunshine was a really lovely way to spend a Sunday.

Monday

youngest sweeping leaves

The girls and I spent some time cleaning up leaves in the garden and doing some general tidying up.  With the lovely weather its great to get outside and enjoy some time in the garden before bed.

Tuesday

eldest in play tunnel

More lovely summer play, my eldest loves her play tents which give great shade on hot days.

Wednesday

the finished play house

I am so pleased with how the play house has turned out.  It has taken a while to complete due to the repair work that was needed but it has been well worth it.  Thanks to Farrow and Ball for the paint, I hope that the play house will last the girls for years to come

Thursday

cow bob bob cow

My daughter wanted to visit the farm after nursery.  This is one of my favourite pictures of the day as the cow shows a particular interest in BOB.

Friday

beautiful smiles

We visited a shopping centre after work as I needed some last minute supplies for the Yorkshire 3 peaks walk.  My eldest wanted a go on the fire engine ride.  I just love how happy she is

Saturday

gin

Ok so Saturday did not go according to plan.  My daughter decided to dive in from the side of the swimming pool into my face.  Which resulted in blood loss and a swollen nose, plus a lovely cut [quite deep I might add] across the bridge of my nose.  My daughter is unharmed, unhurt, unmarked and alright.  Which to me is the most important thing.  I however have a headache [still its now Monday] and my face/nose is killing me.  As a result of this I was late to pick up Hollybobbs, which made us late for the pre #blogonmosi dinner [sorry again Laura].  This picture is therefore of the gin Lisa and I had in our hotel room before blog on to wind down from a rather hectic day.

I love taking the girls places where they can run free and explore.  When #lovecravendale provided me with tickets to Newby Hall and Garden I was excited to take the girls, having never been before it seemed like it would be a lot of fun.  First we had to pass through a real prison cell door, I was rather fascinated by it.

Prison door

My eldest daughter loved the drive up to the car park.  There are sheep roaming free and she kept pointing at them through the window.  We parked in the free car park and headed over for some lunch.  Although a little cloudy we decided to sit outside and the girls, joined with H and J from Hollybobbs, had fun running round the enclosed garden.  We were even joined by a robin.

There was lots to see and we even found some giraffes

The girls had a lot of fun on the adventure playground.  They really wanted to go on the boats too, but we decided against it having the little ones.

It also seems that any where we go we come across a large sandpit.  It took a lot of persuasion to coax the girls out of the sand pit.

A change of clothes was needed after the girls ran through the water play ground.  Later in the day we saw several children running though in swim wear, I think this maybe the way to go next time we visit.

playing in the water

The girls had fun exploring the wonderful gardens.  With hidden dens in trees, trying to climbing trees and exploring the water together.  It was really lovely to watch.

After a walk around the gardens it was time for our train ride.  The train ride is an extra charge but at £1.80 per person [children over 2 and adults] it was a reasonable price to pay.  My girls really enjoyed the ride and my eldest could not contain her excitement at riding the train.

The girls started to get a little tired.  Luckily I had BOB with me and the girls could all relax together as I pushed them through the lovely flowers in the garden.

We arrived at the house, there was a lovely lawn that was perfect for playing on.

All the children had a lot of fun exploring and running free.  It was so beautiful to watch them all play together.  Newby Hall and gardens really was a great family day out.  Thanks once again to #lovecravandale for providing tickets to Newby Hall and gardens.  Why not start collecting tokens from special Cravendale and exchange them for great family days out.

This day I love running free.
