This day I love.......

You would assume that as we have 2 dogs and 3 fish that the girls would have enough pets, but instead they have both asked for a mouse.  I used to have pet mice and whilst I have no objection to the concept of looking after a mouse, I do worry given that one of our dogs is a Jack Russell.  Perhaps not the best combination.

There is however an alternative option, Character’s Little Live Pets Mouse.  The mice behave like a real mouse and is of less desirable interest to the dog!  Mouse House Trail from Character’s Little Live Pets also gives the mouse a place to run, scurry and play.

Mouse House Trail from Character’s Little Live Pets requires some assembly.  I have to admit that the instructions did confuse me slightly and I could have done with a better finished picture, but I managed to assemble the Mouse House Trail in the end.  The Mouse House Trail does not come with a mouse so it is advisable to ensure you purchase one separately.

Once assembled you place the mouse in the trail an watch them scurry around.  The girls think it is really fantastic and find it funny watching the mouse run up the ramp and through all the obstacles.  I personally like watching the mouse run in the wheel

The mouse does occasionally become stuck on the side or flip over in the wheel, but this seems to add to the enjoyment for the girls.

The girls love watching the mouse run around the course and have asked for another mouse to keep this mouse company!  I think the desire for a real mouse has also disappeared.  Mouse House Trail from Character’s Little Live Pets has proved the girls with a lot of entertainment and once built seems to stay together well enough to handle the girls playing.

We were sent a Mouse House Trail from Character’s Little Live Pets for review, all words are my own opinion

My youngest daughter and I went to Meadowhall shopping centre and dotted around the shopping mall were lots of footprints.  Our curiosity led us to track the footprints, what could it be?

footprints in the shopping centre

We followed the footprints, they were too big to be a cat or a dog.  The wrong shape for a horse or rabbit, we kept going.  Out side the footprints led us to a big white tent, whatever the animal was it was inside the tent

The big white tent

We stepped inside the tent and were given some mouse hats.  The mouse is the scariest creature in the deep dark woods.  The tent was home to the deep dark woods, and we were going to take a stroll through the deep dark woods.

We [the mouse] took a stroll through the deep dark wood, a fox saw the mouse and the mouse looked good.  The fox came out from the deep dark wood, he sniffed us and looked, then invited us for tea, it was very kind of him but we had to follow the footprints.  An Owl and a snake invited us too but we had to know what had left these footprints.

Deeper into the dark woods we went.  Listening to stories and watching the story unfold, until out from a tree we found the answer to who had left the footprints.  He had terrible tusks and terrible claws and terrible teeth in his terrible jaws, he had knobbly knees and turned out toes and a poisonous wart at the end of his nose, his eyes were orange and his tongue black and there were purple prickles all over his back, oh help, oh no we found a Gruffalo!

Gruffalo experience

Out of the deep dark woods we went, happy we had found who had left those footprints around Meadowhall.

Thank you to the team at Meadowhall for giving us the first tour of the Gruffalo experience, we have not been asked to write this post.
