This day I love.......: photo book

We take lots of digital photos but it is not very often we print them. I love looking through our photos and love having the physical copy of the photo to look through. My photos however are stored all over the digital world from Instagram to Facebook, g+ to Dropbox and even on SD cards. Organising them can be a nightmare.

With Father's Day round the corner I have been looking at creating a unique gift for the girls grandad. I want to create a memory book of the girls which they can give to him on Father's Day. One of the simplest ways for me to do this is using Imprify.

The layout is quick and simple to use so a photobook can be created within minutes. Perfect for when you are short of time. After our holiday to Coombe mill my eldest daughter is desperate to go on holiday again. She talks non stop about holiday and it was what she asked Father Christmas for. I think it is so lovely that our holiday has captured her so much that I wanted to create something special for her to remember it by.

I was provided with a code for a CEWE photo book and decided that this would be a perfect opportunity to create something for her. I compiled a collection of our favourite photos and one from each of the different activities we had done, then downloaded the photo world software.

The software was easy to use and I arranged my photos into the photo book template. I had chosen a soft back book with a glossy cover, as I was creating this for my daughter I thought this would resemble more the books she was used to holding, a picture book. Whilst there were many options and sizes to choose from this seemed to be the best option for her.

I tried to fill the entire pages with photos so she could look through and remember her holiday, but also create her own story as she went along. It did not take me long to edit the photos and complete my order. I was impressed with the speed at which my order arrived and I could not wait to give the book to my eldest.

My eldest is over the moon with her book. She picks it up and creates her own stories as she looks through the pictures. I have even seen her showing the book to her sister and explaining to her what is happening. The photo book has had to with stand sticky fingers and the not so delicate page turning of a 3 year old, but so far the book still looks like new, which shows its quality. My eldest is very impressed with her CEWE photo book and I am so glad I've managed to create something for her to keep her holiday memories alive.

I really love looking through the albums my Mum has of my sisters and me growing up. I have wanted to do something similar for the girls for a very long time, the difficulty was I have almost 2000 images of my youngest in her first year and a similar number for my eldest. When Vistaprint gave me the opportunity to trial a photobook I had to jump at the chance.

The ordering process was really straight forward. I downloaded an editing tool and added all of my images, yes nearly 2000 images. I then spent the next few days rearranging the images and resizing them onto 120 pages. Once I was happy with my design I pressed order. I ordered an XL which is 39x28 cm and a S which is 13x10 cm.

I chose to have the books in hard back and added a photo to the front and text onto the spine. I liked the different binding options as you can have standard or layflat. I went for layflat which means when the book is open the pages lay flat. I also chose Glossy paper from the standard finish. I was very excited for the books to arrive. The delivery process was very fast it was just a shame I was not in when they delivered and had to collect from the post office.

I am incredibly pleased with the results. Layflat really does lay flat, the pages feel like they are printed on high quality glossy paper. I can see each image clearly. The finish to the book is of a very high standard and I am very happy with the photo books.

I have not stopped looking at these photos. The small one lives in my bag and goes everywhere and the larger one I like to have it on my knee and each time I open it I find a photo I had forgotten about and it brings back some wonderful memories.

Vistaprint also have a wide range of other items available including business cards, stationary, key rings and party invites.

With Fathers Day fast approaching I have struggled with ideas on what to buy not only my husband from the girls, but my Father and Father in law. I was recently approached by albelli to have a look at their range of inspirational products.

They offer no quibble guarantees and have been voted no 1 photo book by the gadget show. With all this in mind I was very keen to use the voucher I had been given for money towards a photo book. I found the process very straight forward and user friendly.

I was pleased to see they also offered other products including diaries and calenders.

I used the on line editor to create a speedy photo book, it was indeed very speedy. I simply selected 24 photos which I wanted to use and pressed go and that was it, photo book created. I also tried the offline editor which you download. The installation process took around 2 minutes.

I found the offline editor also very simple to use and chose to create a folded pocket book. The process was quick and simple and what took most time was choosing the right photos to use.

Payment can be made either via pay pal or card. I am now eagerly awaiting the delivery of my photo books. As I ordered before 9th June they will also be here before Fathers Day.
