With the nice warm weather and my girls showing more and more interest in wildlife, we decided it was time to build our bird table.
The girls enjoyed putting all the pieces together
My eldest liked passing the pieces to me and my youngest enjoyed helping
After we had built our table it was all time to pile on Mummy on the trampoline
Before having some cuddles and watching the birds
This day I love Bird houses and cuddles
My eldest adores taking photos. Any opportunity to take a picture and she is either trying to use my phone or my camera. She normally takes photos that look like this
I cannot even begin to tell you how many pictures I have of the ceiling. I like letting her play though, she enjoys herself and think gets something from it.
She surprised me a little today though, as she took the following photos
They might not be technically the best photos, but for me they are perfect. She has captured the cheekiness in each of them and I love them
This day I love taking photos
Ashley NYE is a talented artist whom turns photos into lovely bespoke pieces of art. I sent her this photo of the girls
This picture is one of the first moments of the girls playing together. My youngest is around two weeks old and my eldest just laid next to her watching her and showing her her toys. There is such love in my eldest eyes that it is a moment I never want to forget.
Ashley has taken the photo and turned it into a stunning piece of artwork
She has captured the moment beautifully and kept the love in my daughters eyes. The beautiful smiles and looks of happiness on the girls faces. It is a beautiful original piece of artwork that I am going to treasure forever and one which I am incredibly proud to own.
NYE portraits has a range of prints to purchase or why not create your own bespoke piece of artwork. They make wonderful gifts and are a great way to treasure precious moments
It has been rather a mixed day today. The girls are still rather unsettled at night meaning my total sleep for last night amounted to 2 hours, and that was not all in one go. With my zombie like state I felt like doing rather little today, but knew for the girls sake we needed to at least get out the house.
We took our dog for a short walk, as he is not very well at the moment. My youngest fell asleep the second she got in the pram and my eldest chattered away with me telling me all the things she could see. It was great to be out with them both and a wonderful way to start the new year.
Once we returned home my youngest, for reason known only to herself, decided to test out her balancing skills. She crawled to the sofa and pulled to standing. She promptly removed one hand and turned round whilst holding to the sofa with the other, she then let go. With both hands up in the air by her head she grinned, wobbled for about 10 seconds and then fell down. She thought this was so much fun that she kept doing it for about 20 minutes. I was a nervous wreck every time she did it.
After she had finished doing this she wanted to play with her 'bop and roll' which she absolutely loves. I just love the concentration on her face as she hits the balls in the hole and watches them whizz round
My eldest was in a crafty mood and kept asking to stick things, as she waved a glue stick at me. So we used the left over sweet wrappers from last nights celebrations to make a 2013 sign.
I have stuck this picture on the side of our fridge and then any pictures she does this year will go around this year picture. I think the sweet wrappers give it a great textured looked.
We also made a crocodile and a cow which I am rather proud of
After a zombie like start to the morning I am rather proud with what we have achieved today, and hope the girls have a much better night sleep
This day I love Crocodile, Cow and sweet wrappers.
I have family all over
the world and also all over the UK. Family is very important to me
and I would love to see more of them and they want to see more of the
girls growing up. This often involves lengthy emails with pictures
attached or pictures shared on other social networking platforms. I
am careful however about the pictures I place on these and its not
the same as having an album to store all our pictures and videos of
the girls as they grow up that family and close friends can view.
23Snaps is a private
social networking tool which lets you capture, cherish and share the
special moments in your child's life. I was particularly excited to
use this as, as previously mentioned, it would be great to share our
photos and videos with our widely spread family.
The application is free
to download which is a great bonus and currently available for iPhone
and iPad with the Android app due for release next week. There is
also the online web version which is again free to use.
One of the features that
I particularly like is that you create each of your children their
own page. On this page you can look at photos or videos, which are
displayed in pin style, in chronological order. You are able to
enter a text update, so for example when they take their first steps
or their first tooth can be recorded. The thing I really like within
this is the function to enter a measurement such as height or weight.
I'm often asked how much did she weigh when she was 6 months and now
I can find out.
The app is smart enough to work out each child's age to month and day and so when a photo is entered it displays this data along with the date on each picture. You are therefore able to create for each of your own children a personalised story of their childhood. Family and close friends can comment on your pictures enabling a sense of 'being there' even when far away.

This functionality alone is brilliant; my family can see at a glance all the key milestones of my children's development and see how they are growing. There is no more guessing how old was she at Christmas, at what age did she take her first step, its all there for us to see at a glance.
I found the application very easy to navigate through and easy to use. There is a news feed which shows as it would suggest a collection of what has happened, again in
chronological order. It was great to see the removal of duplication
as I could enter my husband and the application records him as my
partner, enabling us both to edit our children's pages. You also
have the option of viewing the news feed in calender mode, so if like
me you have taken a picture of your children almost every day, you
can see throughout the month how they have changed.
I absolutely love this
application my family have already started using it and there is not
much more I can say about it other than to try it yourself, its free
and its a fantastic way to cherish those moments that go all too
quickly.
