Swimming and shopping

With the girls poorly the past few weeks our normal routine went out of the window.  I don't have a routine in the sense of at 11 am we do this and at 3 pm this happens but we do have a structured day or routine.  Once a week the girls go swimming, I try to do an activity with them everyday.  Today we had swimming lessons to catch up from the 3 each girl missed when poorly.

I took my youngest in the pool first for her 30 minute lesson.  As its a pool we tend to use for catch up classes my youngest has never swam in it before.  She was a bit taken by the size of the pool and kept looking round, not really paying very much attention.  She normally splashes and kicks her legs, today she was too busy looking at everything.

My eldest has used this pool before.  She really enjoyed her lesson and has now taken to standing up and jumping in.  Her aim is to make the biggest splash possible in order to get Mummy as soaked as possible.  She absolutely loved it today and we had plenty of giggles.

lets go swimming

After swimming I took the girls out for lunch, followed by a quick trip round the supermarket.  Having run out of bread, milk, rice and most fruit and vegetables a food shop was definitely in order.  My youngest decided to test out two new things.  The first is to grab anything she can reach, including members of the public and their shopping, and put them into my trolley.  Rather amusing the first few times.  The second thing she wanted to test was to take out any item in the trolley she could reach and either eat it and if not edible throw it.  I can see future shopping trips taking even longer.

This day I love swimming and shopping

  7. I really need to get The Boy into the water more when the weather improves; because of his constant ear infections in Winter we avoid it. However I see others, like your eldest, starting lessons and worry that I'm holding him back. Love the way she seems so confident.

  9. Always good to get them swimming from a young age and confident in water. As for the shopping, I loath it and would do it all on line but Nick rather enjoys it so he does ours on Saturday while I show the guests in, a happy job divide for us!
