Crafting with Carpetright

I love it when I get an opportunity to be creative.  I enjoy the challenge and so when an invite came from Carpetright to attend a craft session I was delighted to accept.

welcome to crafting with Carpet Right

Our design brief was fairly simple, craft with carpet.  Now carpet is not a material I would usually craft with nor would think of creating something with but I was up for the challenge.  My normal use for left over carpet is to line the dolls house, create a door mat, line the dog crate and use to carpet the play house outdoor.  I decided I wanted to decorate a mirror and began creating ideas.

I used the carpet as a background to place the mirror onto, as I felt the colours framed the mirror well.  I then tried to incorporate the design with the rest of the mirror and I think it worked rather well.

It was really great to meet up with fellow bloggers and to see what everyone came up with.  We all approached the challenge slightly differently and created many different items.  After the challenge it was time for cake, and what wonderful cake it was.

The cake really did not stay around for very long, it was delicious.

It goes to show that with a little imagination you can make leftover carpet into something really pretty.  Giving those end rolls a new lease of life and creating a whole new outlook.  I had a really wonderful afternoon with wonderful cake and wonderful bloggers, thanks Carpetright.

This day I love crafting with Carpetright
