Review : the carrot cake catastrophe

Our December paragon book buddy title is 'The carrot cake catastrophe'. This is a rather lovely story with a story line I will probably be able to relate to in a few years time.

Jenny and Grandad are making a surprise for Mummy's birthday, a delicious carrot cake. Grandad however adds soap instead of butter, salt instead of sugar (yes I've done that), and the carrots go into the mixture whole, the cake begins to look like a catastrophe. Will anyone eat the cake?

This book gets giggles from my girls and lots of oh, and both girls really love the pictures and the story line. The colours are a lovely pastel colour with clear characters that the girls warm to. Another really lovely book from Paragon.
