the butterflies

We used to live almost next door to the Tropical butterfly house and so I spent a lot of time there with my eldest.  She knows where we are going when we pull into the street and gets excited asking for the butterflies.

I wanted to spend my last day of MAT leave here as it has such wonderful memories for me with the girls and its not too far away.  My sister came out for the day too and my eldest loved having the attention of her Auntie for the day.

As soon as we enter the butterfly house my eldest runs to watch the crocodiles

I love trying to find the bats

and the iguana, who decided to leap right over my head.  The picture is mid leap

I was a little scared the iguana would either not make the distance of the jump or the branch he jumped to would be a little unstable.  All seemed fine and luckily no iguana ended up on my head.

There are loads of animals to find in the butterfly house,

My youngest also took lots of time practising her walking skills

There are lots of other animals to see outside the butterfly house

The girls even had time to play outside

It was a lovely day out and a great way to end my MAT leave.  The girls had a lot of fun with their Auntie

This day I love the butterflies
