Redecorating inspiration

We moved house 3 years and in that time have managed to decorate all but 3 rooms.  Our bedroom and ensuite are still in the original builders magnolia, as is the front room.  We are wanting to put a wood burner into the front room so really do not want to go through  the expense of decorating to then have to re decorate as soon as we install the wood burner.  Our bedroom needs new fitted furniture before we can decorate, however we are almost at the point we can begin work on our bedroom.

As the date draws closer that we can start I have begun drawing room inspiration for what I would like to do in the room.  Without giving too much away I am going to be giving the room a whole new look and will be documenting the whole process on YouTube and on the blog.  The room is going to be totally transformed and I am getting very excited to share it with you.

One of my current design ideas is to create a statement wall.  I would love for the wall to be relaxing, yet also different enough to stand out.  The room will have a modern feel to it and as it is a bedroom I need it to feel warm and relaxing.  One of my favourite collections at the moment is the Ombre Wallpaper from murals wallpaper.

I love the contrast in colours in the paper and how it creates interest without being too over the top.  There are lots of different shades to choose from dependant on personal choice, which has left me a little spoilt for choice.

I cannot wait to share with you my design ideas and hopefully soon the finished room.
