Travelling to the beach

My Mum and I took the girls on a little surprise trip.  They were very excited especially when they got to travel on the tram.

We arrived in the city of Sheffield and my girls thought we were going shopping but we kept on walking towards the Moor.  The Moor has just been refurbished and has indoor markets, shops and also hosts events.  It was the event that had caught my attention, Beside the seaside.  I knew instantly upon reading it the girls would love it.  I was not wrong the second they saw the fair ground rides they were straight on them.

Authentic seaside noises filled the air and if it was not for the surrounding shops you would be forgiven for thinking you were at a seaside resort.  In fact it was so authentic there were even donkeys to ride!

The only thing missing was the sea itself.  A huge beach [sandpit] surrounded by deckchairs and beach huts.  The beach even had lots of buckets and spades for any child to use, and my girls certainly wasted no time to begin playing in the sand

I decided an ice cream sitting in a deckchair in the sun was the way forward.

I recorded a short video to give you a taste of The Moor Seaside, hope you enjoy.

We love to travel and explore new places, be it on a day trip or longer family holidays. A brand new family travel show is also opening its doors this October.  The family travel show will be at London Olympia from October 31st to November 1st.  Encompassing everything to do with family travel and with kids under 16 going free, it is sure to be a perfect family adventure!

I am pleased to be able to offer a pair of adult tickets to the Family travel show.  Simply follow instructions on the widget below which also has the full terms and conditions.

Good Luck
