I am so pleased to announce we are a Parragon Book Buddy. This means that once a month the girls will receive a book from Paragon for us to read together. The girls and I love reading and so we are very excited to be part of the Book Buddy group.
This week [7th - 11th October 2013] is Children's book week and I therefore cannot think of a better time to have received two books from Parragon books. We received both August and Septembers book together and the girls have loved therefore having a book each.
August book was Three Little Dinosaurs by Charles Fudge. This tells the wonderful story of three friends who all have a wonderful dream, they want to fly. But can dinosaurs fly? The story really got my daughters thinking and they love the beautiful illustrations of the three dinosaurs. The book is full of wonderful colour throughout and the story is a nice easy relaxed read, a great one for bed times.
September sees the Adventures of the Owl and the Pussycat by Coral Rumble. This is a story based on the poem by Edward Lear. It sees two curious children dress up as the owl and the Pussycat and the adventure their imaginations take them on. I really love reading this book with the girls. I can imagine them doing the same as the story. I love the illustrations in this book they really make the story come to life. The story is again quite calming and was a favourite with my daughter when we went to hospital to keep her calm and take her mind off things.
