Ultrasonic cavitation

Since I started running in September I was not seeing any results in terms of changes or weight loss on my body. I was straying to get disheartened as I was hoping I might tone up a little. Part of the reason was the saggy skin on my tummy. Having had two large babies my skin simply could not repair its self and I was left with wrinkly skin. The girls often asked me if I was really old as I had old lady skin, a very huge confidence booster.

I figured it was time to do something about the saggy skin and thought laser lipo might be the answer. I found a groupon code, which I purchased and booked in my laser lipo session. ultim8 beauty was a new company to me and I was a little unsure what to expect.

I need not have worried as Kate made me feel as ease. We discussed laser lipo and discovered it was not the right course of treatment for me and instead ultrasonic cavitation would be more suitable.

Laser lipo is non permanent, it simply shrinks the fat cells so if you have a binge meal then everything you had lost would be put back on. It is not as effective for tightening skin and the layers of penetration are not as deep meaning it would only tackle the top layer of fat.

Ultrasonic cavitation is permanent and targets much deeper layers of fat. Perfect for beer bellies and mummy tummies. It also helps to stimulate the production of collagen so can help tighten the skin. Ultrasonic cavitation destroys the fat cells which are then removed via the liver.

The session lasted for 30 minutes and felt like having an ultrasound scan when I was pregnant. The skin gets warm but not uncomfortable a pleasant warmth. There is no pain or discomfort and I could drive home afterwards and get on with a normal day.

After the session you need to do some exercise, so I opted to do vibration plate for 15mins and you do need to drink 2 litres of water after the session throughout the day. There is a list of foods to avoid or cut down on but nothing that would cause any worry. It is mainly about eating healthier.

Measurements are taken before and after at 5 points.

Before 68cm, 71c,, 80.5cm, 83.5cm, 84cm
After 66cm, 69cm, 76cm, 80cm, 81.5cm

Total loss 14.5cm

Whilst I didn't set out to reduce measurements I am really surprised at how much I have lost, everything is relative of course and some people have lost in excess of 30cm. In terms of skin tightening, I can see a difference which I am really happy with. It isn't as smooth as before children but it is a lot better. I would certainly recommend and I want to go back for more, it gets addictive.

Here is my before and after photos, 6 sessions the redness is due to the warmth there was no pain or discomfort.
