Trying to entertain two young children can sometimes be tricky but when you add a Jack Russell into the mix things get rather interesting. I want my children to grow up with J, our dog, as their companion and a friend. He is already protective of them and he is part of our family.
We allow our eldest to become involved in teaching him tricks such as sit and stay, she hands him the treats and he has learnt that if he sits under the youngest high-chair long enough she will throw him food and giggle with delight as she does so.
We have recently tried to teach J and our eldest daughter the game of musical bumps, the music stops and you sit down. So far not a huge success but we are making progress. I can get one of them to sit when the music stops but not both at the same time, they both get the idea and like playing with each other, I'm sure it will work one day.
So today I decided to see what my youngest made of bubbles to try and involve her with playing with her sister and J. I already know how much my eldest and J love bubbles so thought this might be a good starting point.
All I can say is that she was mesmerised and kept giggling at her sister and J, as her sister ran around shouting pop as she popped a bubble and giggling and J as he tried to catch bubbles.
So if anyone needs to keep a 2 year old, 6 month old and a Jack Russell entertained I can thoroughly recommend bubbles
This day I love bubbles.
