wrapping presents

Both girls are currently a little poorly and on antibiotics.  My eldest has a chest infection and keeps coughing, my youngest is teething which has lead to an ear infection and a nasty cough also.  It means the girls are both tired as they are not getting enough sleep at night.

I wanted to take this afternoon a little easy with them both ill and spend a bit of time with them.  Whilst my oldest just wanted to watch DVDs my youngest and I decided to tackle the wrapping presents item on my to do list.

It will be my youngest first Christmas this year.  As a result she was a little overwhelmed by the whole thing of wrapping presents.  She loved the noise the paper made when she crawled on it.  Was amused that paper rolled and she could chase it round the floor.  Loved exploring how a roll of tape can fit over your hand.  Her favourite though by far was unwrapping the presents I had wrapped up.  She thought the noise of tearing paper was funny and giggled every time.  We even managed a game or two of peek a boo!

Wrapping presents is a job I normally hate doing as I am very bad at it but having my youngest to help really made me laugh and enjoy the experience with her.  It might have taken a few hours to wrap one present but it was definitely a lot more fun with her.
