My youngest was asleep yesterday when we went out into the snow to play. We waited for her to wake up today so that she could experience snow for the first time. I wrapped her and her sister up warm and we went outside, onto the front garden.
She made a wonderful snow angel, the top picture, but then the dog ran through it and her sister came over to stand in it whilst I was taking the photo so unfortunately the picture has not worked rather well. She felt it, played with it, ran it through her fingers and very carefully examined it. I loved watching her forming an opinion of the snow. Finally stopping at the conclusion that snow is far too cold and she started crying. I tried a dummy to calm her down so her sister could keep playing in the snow, as she loves the snow but unfortunately this did not work. Back inside we went to get warm.
Fingers crossed we get some more snow, as its nearly gone and we can try again
This day I love my first taste of snow.

Yey, snow for your baby girl! She looks quite bemused by the feel and sight of it! Shame you had to go in, but it was a new experience and their hands soon get cold. Thanks for linking up
ReplyDeleteShe really was not sure by the experience. It was either ice of melted today so not best for them to play with far too slippery.
Deleteaaww, bless her. My 21mth old experienced snow for the 1st time this week too and he came to the same conclusion :D (popping over from Country Kids)
