The day the crayons quit review and giveaway
One of my daughters favourite things, other than reading, is colouring. Can you imagine what would happen if the crayons quit? It would be an absolute disaster here. That is just what happens in the book, The day the Crayons quit by Drew Daywalt and illustrated by Oliver Jeffers. Poor Duncan goes to his colouring box to get his colours and find a stack of letters.
Each letter is written by the individual colours. My daughter loves the pictures and the stories the letters tell. She feels very sad for the pink crayon, who is upset because they are hardly used. She laughs at the picture of the white cat in the white snow and sings puff the magic dragon on the purple crayons letter. This is such a beautifully written book that makes my daughter at 3 years of age laugh out loud.
