Review : little helper FunPod
My girls like to help and to be involved. We love cooking, baking and crafting but the problem is doing this safely. I always panic when my girls pull up a chair to help. What if the chair slips? What if it tips? What if they slip? They want to be involved though and I want them to be safe.
I came across the Little Helper FunPod and I was amazed. A safe way for children to be involved. The Little Helper FunPod comes flat packed but is incredibly easy to self assemble, I managed it in 10 minutes by myself, although it would have been easier with two. A separate post will follow shortly on how to assemble. There is a great variety of colours to choose from and is suitable from when a child can stand unaided to around 5 years old.
The Little Helper FunPod has allowed my children to be at the same height as the work top and therefore help with most things I am doing. Not only this because they are at the same height as me they can see what I am doing, so there is no pulling on my leg to be picked up to see what is going off. I don't have to worry about them been sat on the work top, or balancing on a chair or footstool, they are safe in their FunPod.
The FunPod features a great stable base which means it is difficult to tip. I caught both of my girls trying to climb into theirs in order to be at the work top, and the FunPod did not even wobble. It stayed perfectly still, solid. This fills me with a huge amount of confidence in the safety of the FunPod.
The FunPod has adjustable heights, which thanks to the unique lock in system, allow the FunPod to grow with your child. The high sides mean a child cannot fall out of the FunPod, provided the height is set correctly. This again fills me with great confidence in the safety of the FunPod.
We have used the Little Helper FunPod for pretty much everything. The girls stand in them to watch what I am doing. They love to stand in them and eat. Baking and crafting is so much easier as they are able to easily access things without me worrying about them falling off the work top. In fact I often wonder how I managed without them. Although we were sent one for the purpose of a review I was so impressed I had to buy another so that both my girls have one. For me the Little Helper FunPod is a must have item for children.
The FunPod is easily wiped clean, light enough to be portable, yet heavy enough to stay solid not to tip. The dimensions are such that it takes up the space of a bar stool, and fits neatly under our breakfast bar.
I am very lucky to be able to give away a red FunPod to one reader. Please follow the instructions on the Rafflecopter below and good luck. Competition closes at midnight, on 26 October 2013.

ReplyDeleteMy son loves to help in the kitchen but fidgets when stood on a stool or chair making it unsafe, this would be a big help and would mean he could do even more. It would be great to pass down to my grandson too when he is big enough to help - he is only 4 months now :)

ReplyDeleteThis would make my life SO much easier. Our downstairs is open plan so all cooking has to be done with one eye on Flynn, the other on the meal preparation. I'd love to involve Flynn more in the kitchen.

ReplyDeleteOut two year old daughter would be delighted to see whats going on and my arms would get a rest from holding her up and cooking at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI am disabled so if I am doing anything in the kitchen with my daughter it needs close monitoring. Having a fun pod would benefit me in many ways - it would keep her safe and contained and she can sit next to my perching stool, she will be at surface level so I won't need to worry about how to lift her and it will also bring an element of fun to something that can be stressful with my health.
ReplyDeleteMy 18 month old grandson is already very into food, he'll have a go at most things, and he's always pulling on my daughter's legs to see what she's up to. He'd love this...and it looks so sturdy and safe
