The girls and I love messy play. They get very excited as soon as they see the tuff spot come out, they know something fun is about to happen. I draw inspiration from our messy play from a variety of sources, pinterest, blogs, friends but recently my inspiration came from a book we were sent to review.
My eldest loves our Bing book we were sent a while ago. With my youngest now in her independent 'I do it' phrase Bing has been a great way to encourage and support her. The latest addition to the Bing books sees Bing making something special for Daddy. Bing uses feathers, glitter and a manner of other items to make something special.
I filled bowls with feathers of bright colours, sparkly glitter and some Pom poms, gave the girls some paper and some glue and let them have fun.
My youngest began exploring the different textures and we spoke about how the feathers were soft. She looked at the Pom poms and we compared them to the glitter, the Pom poms are big the glitter is small. The Pom poms are dull the glitter is shiny. It was a great way to introduce opposites to the girls too.
It wasn't long before socks came off and the girls were also exploring the different textures with their feet. They then began to experiment. The different glitter became mixed together, the Pom poms got covered in glue and rolled in the glitter. Before finally the master piece, and something special for Daddy was created.
As Bing would say, it's sparkly!
I am very pleased to be able to giveaway a copy of Bing Make something special for Daddy. Entry is via Rafflecopter and the Giveaway closes Midnight on 2nd July 2014.
