Playing into the night

I am really missing playing outside with the girls.  As much as I would love to, I know at the minute that it would be the wrong thing to do and quite probably extend my physio and recovery beyond the current predicted time.  With the weather nice, the girls decided to play in the back garden.

It was lovely listening to their story unfold and their imaginations take off as they went on a hunt for the spotty monster.

J meanwhile was trying to stay out of the action and simply wanted to chase his ball around the garden.

The girls played out different characters

They added in new twists and turns in their story as they hunted for the spotty monster

Searching high and low to find her

They continued to play their game as the sunset and evening set in.  Even when the outdoor lights came on they were still content and happy playing in the garden.

I so wish I could have joined in the game with them, not long now.

This day I love playing into the night

  2. It's so sweet that they love playing outside together with the dogs, I bet it's lovely to be able to sit back and watch even if you're counting down the days till you can join in. It's great the imagination kids have isn't it? I'm sure the spotty monster loves joining in their adventures. It's great to see them not noticing the cold and enjoying the fresh air together. Thanks for linking up with me on #CountryKids.

  5. Hehe loving the spotty monster! It's nice when the kids venture out into garden again after the winter, although it's been unusually mild this year so that's happened sooner than usual hasn't it! Wish you a speedy recovery x #countrykids
