A day with the fairies

I had a few errands to run this morning and as the girls were incredibly well behaved I gave them free choice of how we would spend the rest of the afternoon.  Both girls wanted to dress up, and both wanted to be fairies.

They painted their nails [and my floor in the process], sprinkled glitter to make them sparkly, and placed flowers in their hair.

The girls were sparkly, and with beautiful flowers but they were missing one item, their wings.

The girls played fairies and my youngest wanted to be Fairy Princess Astral.  Fairy Princess Astral is from a new magical live-action series, The Other Kingdom.  The Other Kingdom premieres in the UK on Monday 8th August at 6.30pm and airs weekdays on Nickelodeon.

My eldest, who decided to be a grump and say no to all photos of her been taken, took the role of playing in the high school where Fairy Princess Astral goes, whilst my youngest stayed in the royal kingdom of Athenia  In the series Fairy Princess Astral (Esther Zynn) has to choose between being a fairy princess or becoming human, as she is set to inherit the crown of her royal kingdom of Athenia

It was lovely watching the girls play and act out The Other Kingdom, of course there could then be only one request from the girls, 'Can we watch the Other Kingdom please?'

The girls are very excited for The Other Kingdom to start on Nickelodeon, but for now watch the first episode that we have been sent.

Thank you to Nickelodeon for sending us a The Other Kingdom box which contained

·         Glitter ankle socks

·         Glitter pencils

·         Fairy flower garland

·         Fairy body glitter

·         Temporary fairy tattoos

·         Butterfly necklace

·         Nail art kit

·         A DVD

We used the kit to be fairies today, and whilst aimed at ages 6 - 12, both girls loved the contents and enjoyed playing fairies.

All words are my own opinion.
