This day I love.......

Little man has had a couple of days recently where he has not wanted to be put down. It may have something to do with how tired he is, as the girls wake him up when he naps. As a result I have had a tired little boy. The hot weather has meant that the girls are wanting to play and wanting my attention, so I cannot simply sit and hold a little man, a sling is an absolute must for us at the minute.

The warmer whether has meant that we need something to keep us both cool, and our new Rockin' baby single ply sling has been perfect. The light weight cotton material had kept us cool and it has meant little man can nap in peace and comfort whilst I can still play with the girls or get a few pieces done.

I love the colours and patterns on the Rockin' baby slings, we already use one of their pouches so this is the perfect addition to our growing sling collection. As it is a Rockin' baby pouch we also know that Rockin' baby will donate a sling to a mother in need in one of 30 countries. I love that Rockin' baby have partnered with child fund international to do this, as the benefits of sling or pouch wearing are amazing and to be able to pass this one to others is such a fantastic thing to do.

I simply love our Rockin' baby sling and the freedoms it provides us. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking at a sling or a pouch.

My love for baby wearing is well documented.  With three children to look after it can often be an essential part of our daily routine.  Baby wearing can mean the difference from me having anything to eat that day and going hungry.  For Little Man Baby wearing also makes a huge difference.  His colic becomes a lot more controlled, his reflux is kept to a minimum and he is generally a much happier baby.

Little Man is going through a growth and development week, which means he is a lot more clingy than usual.  He is wanting the comfort and reassurance to know that I am near him and he does give wonderful cuddles.  I also have 2 other children that need my attention so the AmaWrap has come in very handy this past week.

When I first started using wraps I did worry about the method used to tie them, but now it is second nature.  The AmaWrap has a little stretch in it, not as stretchy as others so I have had to get used to fastening a little looser than I would with a more stretchy wrap.  Whilst there are a variety of colours to choose from, I personally much prefer the more natural colour as it goes with everything, and my husband is then more likely to use the wrap also.

The AmaWrap dries quick if washed, which means you can wash over night ready for use the next day [it is warm at the moment so not sure if this has something to do with the drying time?].  The slight stretch in fabric does mean you can get a very supportive hold, and comfort on your back.  I liked how the material was easy to spread over the shoulders to give extra support, which can sometimes be tricky with other wraps.

If you are new to using wraps the AmaWrap would be a good one to try as the instructions are clear and simple to follow and the wrap itself is easy to work out which way to tie.

The AmaWrap also comes in a handy bag which means it is perfect to pop in a change bag, or simply to have in the car for those 'just in case' situations.  Overall a very supportive baby wrap which is fast becoming my go to.

Thanks to AmaWrap for sending the wrap in exchange for my my honest opinions.

I used to carry my eldest daughter everywhere in her sling.  We would go for long walks together and she would spend all day with me.  I loved carrying her and loved my sling.  My youngest daughter was less keen on the sling and I could only use it on rare occasions.  Thing 3 however seems to really enjoy the closeness and wants to be picked up and held close to your chest.  I love to hold him but I also have to be able to look after the girls.

I have been searching for a sling for Thing 3.  The problem I had is with the 3 slings and carriers I currently own, Thing 3 is too small for them.  When I put him in them he becomes covered and it is just not safe, so I needed an alternative.  He is only 49cm in length even though he was born at term and still fits in newborn clothes. [0-3 months swamp him].

At a recent event I met ByKay who provided me with a sling for Thing 3.  I had never tried a stretchy wrap before and will admit to feeling a little apprehensive when I saw the length of material in front of me.  I watched YouTube videos and learnt how to tie the wrap.  To be honest it is really easy to do but I wanted to make sure I had got it right so even went to a local sling group to check the fitting.

The ByKay wrap is very stretchy and both my husband and I can wear it.  The material is soft and easy to wear.  Baby seems to be very comfortable in it.

I have full use of both arms which means I can play with the girls and Thing 3 is fully supported.  I can wear the wrap without baby in it as it is really comfortable and then when I need to I simply put Thing 3 in.  There is no waiting around as everything is ready.

I am really pleased to have found a solution so that Baby is supported and held close and that also means I can play with the girls.  I love having him close to me

Thank you to ByKay for providing a solution and allowing me to carry Thing 3.  Words in this post are my own personal opinion.

The Big scoop dump truck has been used to carry everything from sand, to water to babies.  It has managed all with ease.  It is a nice large size but yet light weight enough for my three year old to lift.  Both girls love playing with the big scoop dump truck and incorporate it into their play.

We received a dump truck in exchange for this post, all words are my own opinion
