This weekend my youngest daughter turns 4! She is getting so big, time really does seem to be flying by. We have a party booked for all her friends from school and also a dinner with family. A party would not be a party without a cake, and my youngest wanted a chocolate cake.

We selected a very simple to follow recipe from our Churchill's cookbook an begun to make our cake
The girls worked together to stir in the mixture, and my youngest decided to add pink sprinkles to the cake mixture.
We had enough mixture left to make a few buns as well.
My youngest really enjoyed making buns and cake, I think she enjoyed eating the mixture more!
