This day I love.......: foam party

For many years we have driven along the A64 through York and seen signs for Piglets Adventure Farm, but have never been and never known what was there. One day during the school holiday we decided to explore and see what adventures were in store.

After stopping for lunch in the newly refurbished cafe, which also included a soft play area, we began our adventure outside. The girls saw the giant bouncy pillows and wasted no time in bouncing!

The girls decided they did not want to take part in the water balloon fights, but this did not matter as there was still plenty to do. There was plenty of space to run around and be free and simply be kids. The girls loved the opportunity to climb and play on the out door play equipment.

Piglets adventure farm has a huge variety of activities to suit most ages. The pedal karts have two areas, one for younger kids and one for slightly bigger kids. There are spaces to play football or catch or generally run around. Plenty to keep the whole family entertained.

Everything is included in the entry price even the scenic tractor rides and the barrel rides which the girls absolutely loved. They sped off round a pre made dirt track and came back bouncing in their barrels and giggling.

We saw plenty of families using the picnic tables or placing blankets on the grass for a picnic, we made use of the cafe which had plenty of choice at very reasonable prices.

We decided to have a go in the Maize maze before heading over to the playground to play some more.

After we had watched an amazing magic show, which the girls still talk about, it was time for a little surprise. I told the girls to stand in the giant ring along with the other children. Music started playing and the girls wondered what was going to happen, then the foam came! Their faces were amazing! They had never had a foam party before and just started jumping up and down in all the foam.
