This day I love.......

When J was a puppy we found that most dog food sent him a little hyper. J also suffers from a sensitive stomach and certain foods he refuses to eat. We started him on a raw food diet, which involved having s freezer full of raw dog food and remembering to defrost the food before hand. This was fine when at home but we would often travel and I can remember one trip to Scotland.

On this trip I had carefully packed J food into cooler bags surrounded by packs of ice. Enough food for our trip. Upon arrival at our first stop all seemed ok with the food and we kept it frozen over night. The next morning we set off on the next part of our journey, as we were driving the car began to smell a little off. When I opened the food bag to feed J all of his food had defrosted and turned to mush. It smelt horrible, had gone everywhere and J refused to eat it.

Pure food

He still has raw food but mixed with dry dog food. I could not face the defrosted mess again. Luckily pure pet food now exists. It is a dehydrated raw dog food, making it perfect for travel and much easier to store. Pure pet food can be stored in the cupboard as usual and because it is dehydrated it takes up less space than the equivalent portion of dog food. Re hydration is simple and the dogs seem to enjoy it.

Why not take a look at the video to see how the dogs got on?

J was sent this food for me to review, all words are my own opinion

The Beeplenish Beeswax range is a 100% natural range of polishes.  It is distributed by the New Zealand honey shop, who also do Pot of Gold.  They are made from natural beeswax which is sustainably sourced and contain a natural Vitamin E, antibacterial, antimicrobial and antiviral pure certified essential oils to prevent oil rancidity and naturally occurring bacteria.  This means that every ingredient, is renewable, biodegradable and earth-friendly.  Even the packaging is 98% recycled and fully recyclable.

As a parent of a child with Eczema and I myself suffer with a dust allergy, the items I use to clean the house are of great concern.  They need to be effective in order to remove the dust, so I don't have an allergic reaction and to not cause a flare up on my daughters very sensitive skin.  I therefore look for products that contain no chemicals, such as the Beeplenish range.

I was provided with a sample pot of Beeplenish Natural Beeswax furniture polish & preserver with orange & lemon.  I admit I was a little worried at first because I am not a fan of the smell of orange.  However I need not have worried as I when I opened the lid I was greeted with a very pleasant sweet smell, more lemon than orange.

a close look inside

I followed the instructions and began work on our oak coffee table.  I was very pleased with how Beeplenish  felt.  It was not sticky and it was not too hard.  It was a great soft texture to work with.  I worked it into half the table to try and highlight the differences between with and without beeplenish.

polished and unpolished

The table to the back of the photo had been polished, where as the table closest to us had not.  You can see a distinct change in how the light reflects off the table and how clean the table looks.  This goes to show that Beeplenish does a good job at cleaning and polishing.

The finish table looks lovely and clean and has a great shine to it.  It is perfect for displaying my beautiful photo books

I am very pleased with the effectiveness of Beeplenish and how easy it was to use.  I am also pleased to see a wide range of other products in the Beeplenish range and am thinking of trying the Bee Outdoors which protects and seals outdoor gear.  This would be perfect for my walking boots for when I do the Yorkshire 3 peak challenge.

The Conviar Eco air purifier is very easy to install.  Simply plug in and switch on.  There are no extra bits to add or install.  The unit is very light weight and sits 33cm tall.  I like the clear mirror effect on the front of the unit.  It adds to the sleek and stylish look.  The air purifier unit is therefore very portable and can be used in a selection of rooms around the house.

convair

When switched on the air purifier unit gives a hum noise as it cleans, purifies and ionisers the air.  It is a quiet and portable air purifier unit.  The Convair Eco uses its HEPA filter to remove 99.97% of pollutants [smoke, dust, pollen, mites, smells] from the atmosphere.  The unit helps to create a healthy and comfortable environment by generating negative ions which are beneficial to  health.  Unlike an air conditioning /air con unit the air purifier helps to clean the air striping the air of toxins.

I have looked at an air purifier for some time.  Wanting one that was sleek and portable so I could not only use it round the house but also take it with me if we went away.  As I suffer badly with hay fever and have tried most medications on the market with no benefit I felt an air purifier maybe of some help.  Since using the Convair Eco my symptoms inside the house have been reduced, which is great.  We have also noticed that my daughters Eczema seems to be more under control, although I do not know for certain that this is the air purifier.  The unit was a little larger than I was expecting but the unit is not big, it is a nice compact size and can easily be transported between rooms.  I am very pleased with the Convair Eco and think it is a great compact air purifier unit.

I was lucky enough to be provided with a Convair Eco unit to review, all opinions are my own.  Should you wish to purchase a Convair Eco Air purifier, Appliances direct are offering £25 off with the code 25PURE making the unit amazing value at £24.97
