This day I love.......

Smart is the new Cool with Project Mc 2, a brand new fashion doll by MGA Entertainment.  Launched in August last year at the same time as the Netflix original series, these smart and savy characters are aspiration and effortlessly cool.

The four main characters the range focuses on are:

McKeyla McAlister (Mc 2 )

o Writer, hipster and undercover spy! When McKeyla isn’t writing in her journal, you’ll find her reading a Sir Arthur Conan Doyle novel, up-cycling or saving the world! Her catch phrase is “I’m smart. Get over it!”

Adrienne Attoms (A 2 )

o Made of a more complex recipe than sugar and spice. Adrienne is a culinary chemist! Originally from Spain (her father is a diplomat), she just loves to host dinner parties. Her catch phrase is “Pretty Brilliant”

Bryden Bandweth (B 2 )

o Bryden loves tweeting, digital photography, streaming music and anything tech! Just don’t ask her to go camping in the wilderness or anywhere without a hotspot! She’s a 24/7 #digitaldarling. Her catch phrase? “Stand Back, I’m Trending”

Camryn Coyle (C 2 )

o Known for her high IQ, Camryn’s real genius comes out in the garage – especially when it comes to her souped up skateboard! Her catch phrase is “Nailed It”

The four girls attend Maywood Glenn Academy - but are also part of a secret, seriously cool organisation, NOV8 (pronounced ‘Innovate’). Even their friendship makes mathematical sense - based on the Pythagorean theorem that A 2 + B 2 = C 2

I am pleased to be giving away a Project Mc 2 Dolls with Experiments (RRP £24.99)

Each character comes complete with their very own experiment for you to make at home. Build McKeyla’s lava light or Camryn’s skateboard, make Adrienne’s volcano erupt or Bryden’s glow stick shine! All experiments use products you can find in your own home for the ultimate in interactive science play.

OK before anyone asks no I am not having another baby.  I do however know a lot of Mums to be and at one time also fitted into this category.  When I was pregnant with my eldest there wasn't a lot of choice for maternity wear.  I didn't want to spend a lot of money on maternity wear, after all for me it was 9 months of wear but I also wanted things to last, as who knows what the future holds.  It was important for me that my maternity wear was comfortable, practical and had the ability to mix and match for work and non work wear.  I stumbled across George Maternity wear and instantly became a fan.

George Maternity wear ticked the boxes I was looking for, it was affordable, good quality and comfortable.  One of my favourite pieces, which I cannot find on the website, was the bump band.  This band meant that during my early pregnancy I could continue to wear my normal trousers with the button undone.  I would simply wear the band over the top to hide the open button.  In later pregnancy I wore the band the provide support for my growing bump and to help when my top didn't quite cover my bump.

Looking through George I have picked some of my favourite pieces

Whilst I am not much of a dress wearer I do like to have a few pieces in my collection.  I always have a black dress as they are suitable for any occasion and never date.  George has some great choices.  I also really like the print on this dress and think it would be perfect for those pregnant in the summer to keep cool, something thankfully I did not have to deal with.

I live in jeans and a comfy pair of jeans is one of my must have buys.  I preferred under bump fitting but know others prefer over bump, thankfully George caters for both.  The great thing about jeans is they can be dressed up with a nice top or dressed down with a nice but more casual top.  The provide great versatility.

The smarted top when combined with jeans gives a casual look but yet when combined with black trousers can give a smarter look suitable for work.  It is great to create quick and simple looks with just a few pieces.

Whatever your style was before pregnancy George can help you maintain it during pregnancy, with a wide range of clothes and styles to suit every taste.  Comfortable and affordable maternity wear, I know I used to wear it!

This post was written in collaboration with George.  All words and opinions are my own.  Images are from George website.
