After a lovely walk in the morning the girls and I decided to have a crafty afternoon. We applied a coat of paint to our snowman, and left him to dry as he will need another coat of white. Then we proceeded to make some 3D stars which are going to hang from the ceiling in the play room.
Whilst I was busy folding the stars my eldest was doing a painting with some foam stamps. She got a little bored of foam stamping and in her words, I want to be an aeroplane Mummy. So she did this:
Now I am not sure why painting your arms and hands in blue paint makes an aeroplane but to a 2 year old it makes perfect sense. After the clean up we went on to decorate the paper stars. It was the first time I had let her use the glitter shaker and needless to say I was a little bit worried.
We set up the paper stars and I let her use the glue to put spots on the stars, she then shook glitter over the stars so that it stuck to the glue. She had so much fun and listened when I asked her to stop shaking the glitter. I think our stars look fab and cannot wait to hang them up. I don't know what I was so worried about.
This day I love glitter
