The girls and I took a trip to Tamworth Castle. We love exploring new places and my eldest daughter had recently done a project on castles at school, Tamworth castle therefore seemed the perfect place to explore.
The girls ran up the slope to the entrance of the castle and upon entering the first room made themselves at home dressing up as knights in the armoury. After dressing up we headed upstairs to make dinner.
It was wonderful how hands on everything was and that the girls got to learn through play. The castle allows you to explore the different historic periods which the castle has seen. My eldest got to learn and try her hand at new letters
Before both girls locked me in the stocks, the picture was taken by my eldest as my youngest locked me in!
After we had explored the castle we decided to make the most of the beautiful gardens and the warm weather by having an ice cream in the grounds. The view was fantastic.
After ice cream we explored the gardens before hanging around in the play area!
We had a great day visiting Tamworth castle and will returning again in the future
