This day I love.......

My girls still very much love Frozen and whilst Frozen fever has calmed down quite a bit they still love the film and love to dress up as Anna and Elsa.  They still ask for Frozen things for Christmas and with this in mind I thought I might put together a little gift guide

Disney Frozen Elsa 3D Shimmer Shaker Bubble Bath

My girls love to have a bath and this 3D Elsa shimmer shaker bubble bath is perfect.  From H&A and available exclusively at Sainsbury's with an RRP of £5 this is a wonderful stocking filler.  Elsa is a good size and the sparkles add a real touch of magic.

Disney Frozen Elsa Tame Your Hair Set

Another perfect stocking filler from H&A.  With an RRP from £4 this is also available exclusively from Sainsbury's.  My eldest really wants her ears pierced and has been told to wait until she is a little older.  At the moment she is also really wanting her independence and to be able to do her own hair.  This kit is perfect for her as it contains everything she needs.  She is able to recreate Elsa and other magical hairstyles.  It even contains clip on earrings!

Samsonite suitcase, backpack, holdall and pencil case

Both my girls love to pack bags.  My youngest in particular has to pack everything in a suitcase and given the chance she would take the suitcase with her everywhere.  Samsonite have just launched a brand new range of suitcase, backpack, holdall and pencil case all with a Frozen theme.  I know this would be something both girls would love.  Perfect for sleepovers or for school.

Large cracker

Ok not strictly a gift but Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a cracker.  Poundland have an amazing selection of Frozen goodies, everything from tableware to gifts.  They even have these large Christmas crackers.  Perfect for any Frozen Fan

Disney Frozen Elsa Shimmering Bath Tints

Let your little ones release their inner Frozen magic with these Elsa shimmering Bath tints.  As the shimmering bath tints hit the bath water they magically change the colour of the water.  My daughters love to scatter them into the water like snowflakes and pretend they have magical Elsa powers.  A wonderful gift from H&A

Elsa SoftPal

I was lucky enough to see the SoftPal back in July.  These glowing characters are perfect as a night light as they softly light up a bedroom.  They can be used as a portable light and it can be switched on for 5 minutes by simply tilting it.  They would make a wonderful gift.  Made by Philips and available from Argos, Amazon, Shopdirect and B&Q.

It was a busy birthday weekend for my youngest, first she had a party for one of her friends from ore school. She looked really grown up dressed as Anna from Frozen. The party didn't stop there though as when we got home we began preparations for her birthday.

First was the cake, she wanted a Minnie Mouse cake. I began making a black sponge cake which I then used to turn into a cake pop mixture. After cutting out lots of Minnie Mouse shape heads out of the dough I arranged them into a cake tin.

The plan was to fill the outside with a beautiful pink sponge mixture so that inside the cake and on each slice would be a Minnie Mouse head. Unfortunately the black sponge didn't set and so my Minnie Mouse head fell apart whilst cooking, oh well.

The cake itself was a general disaster to look at but my youngest was pleased with it and that is what matters. I even made some cake pops with left over dough.

As with any party there was lots of fun to be had, particularly on the bouncy castle. The girls bounced there long after the guests had gone home and even in their pyjamas.

It had been a really wonderful weekend and there could be only one way to finish it, making our own princess crowns.

this day I love a perfect princess party weekend

Last year I took the girls to Enchanted.  It was a magical night and when I heard it was on again this year I knew I had to get tickets.  This year Enchanted also had a magical fair ground and had been turned into a Winter wonderland.

on the rides

The girls wanted to go on all the rides but at £2 per person per ride it soon became expensive.  They selected 2 rides each and the horse carosel.

We spent over an hour in the fair ground before heading down to the Enchanted forest.  We could see the lights glowing in the distance and yes it rained again this year.

Some of the lights were the same as last year but there was a couple of new ones.  The girls loved them just as much especially the ones they could interact with

We came around the corner after the elves workshop and the girls were a little star struck when they spotted Anna hidden in the Enchanted forest.

meeting Anna from Frozen

This then prompted them to look for Elsa.

She wasn't hidding in the Santa grotto, though they did sneak a peak of Father Christmas in there.

Finding Father Christmas

The girls went through the magical wardrobe and through the magical forest.  They could hear some singing and around the corner there was Elsa.

Finding Elsa

The girls thought the Enchanted forest was really magical and could not believe they had found Elsa and Anna hiding in there.  It was time to catch the train back home

We all had a really magical evening and look forward to the festive fun next year
