This day I love.......

A restless night with Little Man after running the night run the night before gave me very little energy on Sunday morning.  I settled for a craft morning with the girls before lunch and it gave us the perfect opportunity to build tiaras with our Frozen tiara kit from Clementoni.

Girls making frozen tiara kit

The kit contained 2 tiaras and the majority of items you needed to make each.  It was missing glue, which luckily we had, and elasticated thread, which we did not have so we were unable to finish one of the tiaras.

Sticking jewels on tiaras

The girls got creative with their tiaras, using glitter, beads and sticker gems.  I loved watching them use their imaginations to make up their own designs.

Whilst I need to buy some elasticated thread to finish my eldest tiara, my youngest is complete and she took great pride in wearing it to show off her Frozen design.

A lovely way to spend a Sunday morning, and just what I needed after a sleepless night!

Thank you to Clementoni for sending the Frozen tiara Kit, all words are my own opinion.

This day I love a crafty Sunday.

After taking the girls to school I met my Mum at the train station and we headed into Leeds.  I had heard great things about Leeds Christmas market and wanted to check it out for myself.  The market is a slight walk from the train station, and if you did not know where Millennium Square was you could end up getting a little lost.  Whilst the back drop was beautiful, the market itself was incredibly quiet.  I could not help but feel it might have been better situated in the main shopper area as it would see a greater footfall.

My Mum and I had a look around each stall, but nothing really jumped out at us.  Perhaps because it was a weekday but the market seemed very quiet and lacked any atmosphere.  It was still lovely to have a walk around and spend some time with my Mum.

Outside of the market and a little walk is another Christmas area with the Leeds wheel.

The modern structure of the wheel glistened against the afternoon sky.  There was no one on the wheel but I can imagine it would be a hive of activity in the evening.

After leaving the markets we walked back through the main city centre.  There was plenty of hustle and bustle as people bought Christmas presents and here is began to feel much more festive.

Our day seemed to rush past us and we hurried back to the train station.  I left the train just in time to pick the girls straight up from school and I quickly bundled them into the car to head to Sheffield

Upon arrival in Sheffield I had two very excited girls who realised we were here to see Disney On Ice.  My eldest is currently going through a phase of conflicting emotions.  She still gets excited but is not sure how to express it as she wants to appear grown up.  It is resulting in some very teenager like emotions!  I can tell though she was excited as she tried to act cool!

We were sat right at the top of the arena so I did not get many photos, but this did not deter from the enjoyment of the show.  This Disney On Ice broke away from the traditional format where we visit many different characters and see a snippet of each show, and instead focused on Frozen.

At the start of the show we were treated to a performance by a variety of the Disney characters before the main show began.  The main show telling the story of Frozen, which both girls know off by heart.

Having watched Disney On Ice before my girls both asked when the show finished 'Where the other stories are?'.  They were both expecting other stories as per the original Disney On Ice format, and my eldest was a little disappointed it was only frozen.  My youngest however accepted that it was the whole Frozen story instead of part of it.  Personally Disney on Ice was still as entertaining with the focus on one show than on multiple stories but my preference would be to have the previous format as I feel it offers more in terms of excitement for the children as they try to spot their favourite character.

Even though the format was different and perhaps not what the girls were expecting they both enjoyed the performance and left with big smiles on their faces!

This day I love a tale of two cities

The girls had the week before Easter as school holidays and the week after Easter.  It has to be said that as Easter approached they got more and more giddy.  It would appear that they are in need of a creative outlet to help them unwind and calm down.  Easter therefore seemed the perfect time to give them the new 'Disney Frozen' and 'Disney Princess' Art Therapy colouring books from Parragon Books.

The new 'Disney Frozen' and 'Disney Princess' Art Therapy colouring books have over 100 dynamic, detailed and incredibly satisfying Disney patterns that are inspired by Frozen and the Princess.  As colouring is a great way to relax and unwind, I knew these would be perfect for the girls.  In fact my eldest wasted no time in colouring, even before opening any of her chocolate.

The books are a great way to clam the girls down before bed and help them unwind from a busy day off school.  They are also a great way to engage with the girls, as they are proud to show off the patterns they have created and how neat their colouring is.  I also love to sit and colour with them with baby is asleep and it is a real nice way to spend time with the girls.

The books were sent to us as part of our relationship with Parragon Books.  All words are my own opinion.

My youngest daughter is showing an interest in reading and writing.  In supporting her desire to learn I look for ways to make learning fun for her and to encourage her desire to want to read and write.  The Frozen Aquadoodle from TOMY is perfect to encourage her desire to learn to write.

The Frozen Aquadoodle comes with mat and special Olaf pen.  The Olaf pen is filled with water and then used to draw over the special Aquadoodle mat.

The Olaf pen is the perfect size for little fingers to hold, and is light weight.  My youngest was amazed when she took hold of the Olaf pen and began to draw, the mat turns blue glitter!  Her eyes lit up and she said 'Wow, it is magic!'

My youngest uses the Aquadoodle not only to practise her letters but also for drawing.  As the water dries on the mat the creations disappear meaning she has a blank canvas to start again.

The Aquadoodle has certainly been very popular with her and she is gaining confidence in her writing also.

Join Anna and her sister Elsa on their epic journey and discover some icy powers of your own: it’s time to sparkle!

To celebrate the release of Frozen Aquadoodle we are offering one lucky winner this new and unique Aquadoodle mat that lets you create amazing glitter effects! Fill the Olaf-shaped pen with water, run the nib over the magic mat and see shimmering results appear! Little hands can draw all their favourites from Arendelle and can also add to their masterpieces with the Olaf stamp. Suitable for ages 2years+. RRP £25.99

To be in with a chance of winning this amazing prize, just answer this question.

What colour is Olaf’s nose?

A) Red

B) Yellow

C) Orange

It is no secret that my girls are big Disney fans.  I think if my youngest could have everything Minnie Mouse she would.  They love everything Disney from the films to the live shows and we are hoping that next year we might be able to take them to Florida to see the magic unfold!

My youngest daughters birthday is just around the corner, and with a baby due at any point I have been trying to organise her birthday celebrations.  Disney On Ice have a new action packed ice adventure visiting four magical destinations, and lucky for us one of the shows is on my daughters birthday!  Disney On Ice presents Silver Anniversary Celebration will be visiting seven cities in the UK from 16th March to 15th May and tickets are on sale now!

My daughter is going to love celebrating her birthday with all her favourite Disney characters, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck.  Watching the story unfold as they visit the magical worlds of Disney’s The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan and Disney’s Frozen.  Both girls are going to love singing along and I hope that they have 'I just can't wait to be king' as this is one of their favourite Disney songs.

I am so excited to be taking her on her birthday, it is sure to be a magical adventure and a magical birthday.  Fit for a princess and any Disney fan!
