A perfect princess party weekend

by - 11:20

It was a busy birthday weekend for my youngest, first she had a party for one of her friends from ore school. She looked really grown up dressed as Anna from Frozen. The party didn't stop there though as when we got home we began preparations for her birthday.

First was the cake, she wanted a Minnie Mouse cake. I began making a black sponge cake which I then used to turn into a cake pop mixture. After cutting out lots of Minnie Mouse shape heads out of the dough I arranged them into a cake tin.

The plan was to fill the outside with a beautiful pink sponge mixture so that inside the cake and on each slice would be a Minnie Mouse head. Unfortunately the black sponge didn't set and so my Minnie Mouse head fell apart whilst cooking, oh well.

The cake itself was a general disaster to look at but my youngest was pleased with it and that is what matters. I even made some cake pops with left over dough.

As with any party there was lots of fun to be had, particularly on the bouncy castle. The girls bounced there long after the guests had gone home and even in their pyjamas.

It had been a really wonderful weekend and there could be only one way to finish it, making our own princess crowns.

this day I love a perfect princess party weekend
