This day I love.......

The best thing about rain is muddy puddles.  We have had a lot of rain over the past few days and with no sign of stopping we braved the weather and went in search of muddy puddles.  We took our Trunki ToddlePak with us for an adventure.

Both girls wanted to wear the ToddlePak and so they took it in turns

The ToddlePak was really easy to adjust and could fit with ease over the top of the girls thick winter coats.  The reins are also easy to clip on and off.  I personally love how bright the ToddlePak is, as it is reflective it can also act as a visibility vest and would help you spot your child in a crowd or the dark.  This is very handy for us especially when out walking.

We continued our walk and the girls decided that they wanted to take it in turns to hold the reins.

Wearing the ToddlePak made no difference to the movement of either girl.  They could both still walk and run with ease, stop to pick up leaves and of course jump in all the mud and puddles they wanted.

The ToddlePak folds quite flat meaning I can store in my bag when not in use.  With the girls taking control of the reins I was worried that they might end up getting tangled.  I was surprised that I only had to unwrap them once.  The nice thing about the reins is it is rather tricky to get them tangled around the neck, which can be the case with other harnesses.  The bright and colourful design has meant that both girls want to wear the ToddlePak and I think I am going to have to invest in another.

The ToddlePak is quick and simple to adjust and to fit onto your child, even when they are wriggling or mid tantrum.  It is also great that it can be worn over the top of winter clothes.  If your toddler likes an adventure than a ToddlePak is a must have.

I am pleased to be able to giveaway a Trunki ToddlePak, entry is via the Rafflecopter and closes on 3rd December at midnight GMT.  Don't forget to check out my other competitions.  Good Luck

In school safety part 1 I spoke about walking to school, sometimes though we walk to school and I might be a little late picking my daughter up. If this was to happen she could go home with a close friend of ours or if my dad was able to he could pick her up.  In doing so she would need a car seat.

It isn't usually feasible to take a car seat with you, but the Trunki Boostapak makes this possible.  The Boostapak is ideal for family holidays, public transport and for emergencies.  The boostapak converts from a rucksack into a backpack meaning it is possible for my daughter to carry it to school.

My eldest is 4 years old and weighs 15.3Kg which means she is just in the weight and age for the Boostapak.  The Boostapak is from 4 - 12 years and 15 -36 Kg and conforms to ECE R44/04 regulations.  The Boostapak could be used for a family holiday.  The Boostapak contains plenty of storage space for packing the essential items.

The Boostapak is easy to install into the car.  By opening up the handles and attaching the loop to the opposite shoulder to the seat belt clip, the Boostapak can be installed in less than 5 minutes.  As it is uncomplicated to install this also makes it great for new users.  The instructions are also printed on the seat.

The Boostapak is therefore perfect to ensure safety during the school run in case of those emergencies.

I am offering one reader the chance to win their very own BoostaPak.  The giveaway closes on 23rd October at Midnight and is open to UK residents aged 18 over.  Good luck.

My girls love getting out and about.  After work we played outside in the warm  sunshine.  My eldest can now use the pedals on her Smart trike so she was riding up and down the drive way.  My youngest decided she wanted to try the Galt balance bike.  I love this bike, yes I have had a go and yes it is way too small for me but its still fun.  She loved holding the handles and looking round at her sister.  Still a little bit too small for it but her confidence grows.

After dinner it was starting to get a little late, but my girls decided they wanted to build a train.  They turned the Trunki toy boxes upside down and off they went. They looked really good riding round on them.

the Trunki train

They had a lot of fun and it was great to see them not only use their imagination but also play together.  They soon discovered that the contents of one of the toy boxes is our musical instruments, nothing fancy mainly shakers.  This then prompted lots of singing dancing and of course the Hokey Cokey.

This day I love All aboard

drawing with chalk
Sunday

My youngest is really starting to show an interest in colouring.  As the weather was nice we sent outdoors with the chalk and both girls really enjoyed getting messy and playing with the chalks.

singing and dancing

Monday

The girls had a lot of energy after nursery and decided to jump up and down on the decking singing their favourite songs.  It was lovely watching them sing and dance together.

My lovely name necklace arrived.  I was rather impressed with how fast delivery was and so happy to have it in time for Britmums live.

hedwig and kurio

Saturday

What an amazing time I have had over Friday and Saturday.  This though was the moment that Mummy bird demonstrated the Kurio 7 to Hedwig.  I had so many photos to choose from to sum up Saturday but decided to go with this.  I cannot wait for Britmums next year it was a fantastic event.

I often wonder where my girls get their energy from.  Last night my youngest had a terrible night.  I think she is cutting two more teeth, to bring her current total to 8.  I was expecting this morning to be rather a chilled morning but I was completely wrong.

My youngest has had her eye on the stairs for some time.  She often crawls out the playroom to them.  Recently she has been able to pull herself up to standing on them but that was as far as it went.  She today took it one step further, she climbed them.

Well that was it once she figured out she could climb them, every time I put her down she went straight for them to climb back up.  Each time giggling as she went and when she reached the top turned round to smile at me.

The climbing did not stop there.  My eldest was sat on her Trunki toy box so my youngest climbed on to it to sit with her and at my parents house she climbed onto the coffee table to steal some cake.

I think this is where the fun begins.

checking out the next thing to climb

This day I love climbing.
