This day I love.......

Little man has silent reflux and needs to be kept upright for as long as possible. This is hard for him and hard on me too, especially with having the girls to look after also. On a plus side this means we get to enjoy lots of baby wearing.

I love baby wearing. I find it great for soothing colic and crying babies. It helps to build a bond and a sense of closeness. Baby wearing can also help the transition from womb to outside world and provide the comfort some babies need. By using a sling/pouch it also keeps your hands free to get on with other things, such as eating, whilst looking after baby.

Rockin baby make some beautiful print ring slings and pouch. They work with non profit organisations and donate a sling to a mother who needs it through these organisations world wide whenever one of theirs is purchased. Using a Rockin baby sling is not only good for you and your baby but you also help out another mum and her baby too.

The pouch was really easy to use. There are zips on the back to adjust the size in order to make it fit.

A removable cover can then be attached to hide the zips if needed. Baby is then positioned correctly in the pouch ensuring they are kissable and visible at all times.

For me the most difficult part was choosing the print. A huge range of prints to suit all tastes it was a tough choice. I eventually went for Frosti and have to say I love it more in the flesh. I was impressed at how easy it was to use and how comfortable it felt on. Little man felt happy too and fell asleep the first time I wore it.

One of my favourite features has to be the padded edge. It provides great comfort against babies legs.

The Rockin baby pouch is a real pleasure to use and little man loves to feel close to me.

My love for baby wearing is well documented.  With three children to look after it can often be an essential part of our daily routine.  Baby wearing can mean the difference from me having anything to eat that day and going hungry.  For Little Man Baby wearing also makes a huge difference.  His colic becomes a lot more controlled, his reflux is kept to a minimum and he is generally a much happier baby.

Little Man is going through a growth and development week, which means he is a lot more clingy than usual.  He is wanting the comfort and reassurance to know that I am near him and he does give wonderful cuddles.  I also have 2 other children that need my attention so the AmaWrap has come in very handy this past week.

When I first started using wraps I did worry about the method used to tie them, but now it is second nature.  The AmaWrap has a little stretch in it, not as stretchy as others so I have had to get used to fastening a little looser than I would with a more stretchy wrap.  Whilst there are a variety of colours to choose from, I personally much prefer the more natural colour as it goes with everything, and my husband is then more likely to use the wrap also.

The AmaWrap dries quick if washed, which means you can wash over night ready for use the next day [it is warm at the moment so not sure if this has something to do with the drying time?].  The slight stretch in fabric does mean you can get a very supportive hold, and comfort on your back.  I liked how the material was easy to spread over the shoulders to give extra support, which can sometimes be tricky with other wraps.

If you are new to using wraps the AmaWrap would be a good one to try as the instructions are clear and simple to follow and the wrap itself is easy to work out which way to tie.

The AmaWrap also comes in a handy bag which means it is perfect to pop in a change bag, or simply to have in the car for those 'just in case' situations.  Overall a very supportive baby wrap which is fast becoming my go to.

Thanks to AmaWrap for sending the wrap in exchange for my my honest opinions.

It can sometimes be tricky juggling three children. Each of the girls have their various after school clubs, not to mention homework on top. Added to this that blogging and my freelance digital work are all home based work I often feel I could do with an extra pair of hands. As I write this I am sat on a train bound for London to attend a very exciting press launch. I am however not alone, my son is coming with me.

Imagine my current situation, I am sat on the train looking after my baby boy yet I am also hands free. I am able to work, eat my breakfast and have him close to me whilst having full use of both hands. He is on my lap and securely fastened to me with a Lapbaby.

Whilst a Lapbaby is baby wearing, it is not a sling or carrier instead it is a rather clever device that holds baby on your lap leaving you able to eat your breakfast with 2 hands. Lapbaby is for babies who can support their own heads and so our journey with it has only just begun. It is also intended for use if you are sat and not a support when stood.

We maybe at the beginning of our journey with Lapbaby but already it is proving invaluable. It is quick to put on, easy to use and stores in a pouch perfect for putting in our changing bag. It is also comfortable to wear. Lapbaby means my son is kept close to me and I can interact with him whilst I eat or work, it means I can help the girls with their homework and I can watch them at their after school clubs without worrying where I will leave a pushchair. Lapbaby gives me that extra pair of hands I need so that all 3 of my children can have my attention. Lapbaby also means I get to eat with both hands!

Lapbaby was sent to us for review, all words are my own opinion
