This day I love.......

Christmas is less than 5 weeks away and it is almost time to ask the teachers for the class list so the girls can send their Christmas cards.  The girls have decided that this year they want to design their own Christmas cards.  I like that they want to be so creative but do have some concerns over them each making 30 cards.

Lucky for us The Card Gallery offer the perfect solution.  The girls are able to design a Christmas card and then I can upload the design to the Card Gallery who will then print them for them.  A perfect idea for Christmas cards which are unique.

The Card Gallery also offer Family and business Christmas cards.  Business Christmas cards allow a company to upload their logo to make a unique Christmas card.  Family Christmas cards from the Card Gallery are personalised with your family name.

The process is very easy to follow, select a design and then personalise the card with family name and greeting.  There are plenty of designs to choose from ranging from the traditional to the more modern.  Something to suit everyone taste.  Before the order is printed you receive a proof to check everything is OK to go ahead.

Our cards arrived and have a great thick card feel to them, which to me suggests great quality.  The print finish is excellent with beautiful colours on the cards.  If you are looking for a truly bespoke Christmas Card, than the Card gallery really does deliver.  They also offer personalised gifts.  I have already got my eyes on their personalised mugs to give as gifts!

I was sent Christmas cards and mugs in exchange for a post.  All words are my own opinion.

My daughter had almost completed her first year at school.  I cannot believe how quickly the year has gone.  I am watching my friends feeds with interest as they are preparing to send their children to school in September for the first time and it reminds me of us this time last year.

It won't be long before she is going to her prom, graduation or celebrating her 18th Birthday.  Summer also sees the wedding season begin.  We start to receive save the date cards, engagement cards, and thank you cards.  Before you know it it is Christmas.

All of these occasions are special in their own right.  Each one a marked celebration of a moment in time and each one important.  We want our invitations to reflect how special our events are and in some circumstances to be a keepsake.

I have had the pleasure recently of being sent some invitations from the card gallery.  The Card gallery had a wonderful range of designs to choose from to create a bespoke and truly individual card.  The invitations I have received are printed on a high quality card and are of really high standard.

As the card gallery use their own designers they are able to tweak any of the images you see online to be truly bespoke.  They even offer free samples so you can feel the quality of their cards.  I really love our invitations and would not hesitate to recommend them.

My eldest currently thinks 5am is a great time to start the day and my youngest thinks 1am is a great time to go to bed.  4 hours sleep maximum is slowly taking its toll.  I had a lovely day planned today but unfortunately the weather decided otherwise.  We had been forecast 10cm of snow but I think we probably got about 1/2 cm.  With our early morning start we were able to get out early and attempt to build a snowman, unfortunately there was not quite enough snow so we improvised

Curiosity then got the better of my eldest and she decided to eat snow

My youngest was tired and wanted cuddles, I did not mind

We headed back inside to get warm and my youngest had a sleep.  My eldest wanted to finish her Easter cards  so we stuck on a pom pom for the rabbits nose, and pieces of coloured thread to make the whiskers

I love our Easter cards, I would have used bigger eyes but I only had small ones left.  My eldest wanted to do more painting so we started our secret craft project [fingers crossed it goes to plan] and then baked a cake

I love the look of concentration on my daughters face as she cracks the egg.  My youngest helped by eating the cake once it had cooked

You would think after waking up at 5am followed by playing in the snow, crafting and baking that they would be tired, but no my eldest wanted to do more baking.  So we made some food for the birds.

First we melted a block of lard in a pan

Next we mixed in bird seeds

Added some string to our shape moulds, we went for butterfly shapes

In the morning we will hang our bird food out.  After all the activities today I was tired and ready for a sit down, it was only 3pm by this point, so we sat on the sofa and watched Toy story before I had to go and cook the girls dinner.  I am hoping its not another 5 am start tomorrow.

This day I love Mr snow head.

With today Valentines Day my daughter had made her Daddy a special card.  She had stuck lots of pieces of red felt onto some card to create a Love heart and then covered in glitter

Valentines Card

Her Daddy really loved his card.

Whilst I was getting ready this morning the girls were very happily playing together and my eldest was trying to show my youngest daughter how to look after her 'baby'

It was really lovely to watch them playing together nicely, although I am not sure why she chose to sit in the wardrobe to do it.

The girls had baby sign class today, which is something that they both really love to do.  My eldest has started to sign even more recently, especially around her sister.  I am wondering if she is trying to help her sister communicate with her?  In the lesson the girls were given rabbit ears to wear as part of one of the songs and I loved how cute they both looked in them

Rabbit ears

It is one of my eldest favourite songs and she loved hopping like a rabbit.

My eldest really loves to help me, although her idea of help is not always the same as mine.  She wanted to help me today by feeding her sister

My youngest did not mind, she loves her food.  I was not too pleased as I wanted my eldest to eat her yogurt and not feed it to her sister.  In the spirit of Valentines we really have had a day filled with love.

This day I love Rabbits and love.
