My eldest keeps asking to go to the farm. I am finding it hard to explain to her that there wont be much to see due to the snow. I check the Facebook pages of the farms close to us regularly to find out if they are open. I found one today that was open
When we arrived we discovered the main animals, cow, sheep, horse, pigs, etc were all on the top fields which was a good 30mins walk So we stayed by the bottom pens. My daughter loved watching the guinea pigs
We tracked our footprints
Until we came across a chicken in our path
We continued to walk around the farm but most of the animals were indoors keeping warm. There were times when I felt like I was being watched
It was lovely wandering around the farm and I hope next time we go there will be more animals to see.
This day I love snowy farm adventure

Very cute and very comitted to seeing the animals in this cold! I hope next time you venture to the farm there are more animals to look at, but it sounds as though you had a great adventure day whatever the weather! X
ReplyDeleteI hope so too, but we did have fun
DeleteLovely photos. Look so cold and yet fun. Love the troll all dressed up too!
ReplyDeleteShe loves her troll it comes everywhere
DeleteWhat a lovely snowy adventure
ReplyDeleteWe had a lovely day
DeleteOh bless her, I hope the snowy farm day hasn't put her off farms, it looks so very cold in your photos. I hope you get a chance to go back and see all the animals enjoying the sunshine in summer time too. Thank you for sharing your snowy adventure, I wonder how long it will be before she is wanting a guinea pig to keep?
ReplyDeleteI used to have guinea pigs, they passed away the day my eldest was born. I would love another but I think the dog may have other ideas. I'd love chicken and ducks too. She loves animals think she gets it from me
Deleteaaww, the chipmunk is very cute and I used to have trolls when I was young :)
ReplyDeleteIt was my sisters troll she adores it

Deletegreat snow fun if a bit cold! my two enjoyed making their own snowy footprints in the tiny dusting of snow we had back in January. thats a good tip about asking FB about farms and open days thank you x
ReplyDeleteWelcome, I tend to check there as usually most up to date
DeleteThat is a serious amount of snow at a quite ridiculous time of year! I hope you still enjoyed the time spent there, but I hope that the snow melts really quickly so you get to enjoy the animals properly.
ReplyDeleteNipping over from the Country Kids linky.
We still have snow so thick it's not melted yet, it's bitterly cold too at moment
ReplyDeleteThis day I love comments and I read everyone
