Special moments

I have not been too well this week, suffering still from the aftermath of the head butt and also a tummy bug things have been a little quiet on the blog front.  Rather than posting lots of posts I thought I would try and combine into one, less for me to catch up on then.

I noticed today as my girls were doing the usual run away from me whilst I try to get them in the car just how grown up they are looking.

Both of them running around and playing with each other.  This time last year we had only just moved in and my youngest could not even sit up.  I cannot believe the time has gone so quick.

We sold the high chair this week.  Another step towards my daughter growing up, but she is enjoying her dinner much more now that she is at the table.

With me not able to stand for long without feeling sick, I am hoping this tummy bug passes soon, I took the opportunity to sit down and go through all the girls toys.  Wanting to make the most of the dry weather I decided to wash the soft toys in the washing machine.  This lead to a rather colourful washing line and one of the only times I have wanted to take a picture of my washing drying.

For the first time too my youngest also got involved in the baking.  My eldest and I love baking and I thought it was about time my youngest joined in.  She was given a spoon and shown how to mix, but I guess the chocolate was too much to resist!

My girls are growing up so quickly and I love how as each day passes the bond between them becomes stronger.  Yes they have their sibling fights but you can see how much they care and love each other.  So far a beautiful week with lots of very special moments.

This day I love special moments.

  5. Lovely post. That no high chair moment feels so momentous, doesn't it? A real rite of passage to sit on a big chair. I washed their soft toys in this warm weather, too, and I spot a couple of similar ones on your line - we do like our Jess the cat bag here! Hope you're feeling brighter soon x
