Painting the Tarn

Red and yellow and pink and green, purple and orange and blue. We ran through a rainbow, through a rainbow, through a rainbow.

We took part in a 5km run to raise funds for Barnsley hospital charity, thank you to all who sponsored us. I was so proud of my eldest who managed to run most of the 5k, the rest she walked.


At the end of the run she asked to go again, which says to me she enjoyed it.

My youngest wanted to be picked up most of the time, which was hard work in the heat but she still enjoyed all the colours.


I am now also the proud owner of rainbow dog. Our dog is still pink and blue after the run.


The 5k rainbow run is a run in which you run through clouds of colour. The paint feels like chalk or powder and it has come out of our clothes, just not the dog. Both the girls had a fantastic time, and I think they enjoyed the ice cream afterwards.
