Review : Gtech cordless strimmer

When I first opened the box and saw the number of items in it for the Gtech cordless strimmer I shall admit to feeling a little scared by the prospect of piecing it all together and put it off. Then it rained and rained and rained some more. Until finally the grass was so long I tackled the components to put together the Gtech strimmer

Actually I need not have worried as it was so simple to do, attach the hood and add to handle, Charge the battery and add cutting blade. There are plenty of spare blades included as you only need to add one and once charged you are ready to go.

The head can be adjusted so it is at the right cutting angle and by tilting you can also use as an edging tool.

I was really surprised at how light weight the strimmer was. I had no problems picking it up and thanks to the adjustable head could manoeuvre into some really tricky parts in the garden.

Using a petrol trimmer had always scared me and I never trusted myself with one. Electric ones I would always be worried in case I cut the power cable. I had no issues with the Gtech. Lightweight and simple to use plus no worries about cutting cables or wondering if cables are long enough to reach. I was really impressed with the cut as it only uses the one blade I was worried it might not give a good finish or might take some time, but actually it was really quick.

There is a little charge for first use but it is better to charge fully as this will give you plenty of time to get round an average size garden. I found it rather therapeutic to tidy up the grass and loved that I can finally cut the grass under the slide and children's play frame, as I cannot get the lawn mower into these places. Overall I am very impressed and no longer scared of using a strimmer!

The Gtech was sent for our review, all words are my own opinion
