This day I love.......

Today is national Sisters' day.

I am very lucky to have my sisters, and although one of them is no longer with us I still think about her every day and she will always be my sister.

My relationship with each of my sisters was completely different, neither better than the other just different.  I love how much my children love my sister and ask about her everyday, even though we do not see her as often as we would like.  They even talk about their Auntie who lives in the sky, which I love as it keeps her memory alive.

The bond between each of my children is different too.  Little Man is lucky he has two big sisters who absolutely love him.  Wanting to do everything, even help me change his nappy.  They want to help and do Mother him to some extent, but they are ever so proud of him and tell everyone he is their brother.

The girls are best friends.  They do fight and fall out, but that is to be expected.  A lot of people ask if they are twins, in fact most people do, which in some ways shows the special bond the two of them have.  Always with each other, always asking about each other and always whispering and giggling to each other.

We were hoping that the new Baby Born sister doll would be with us in time for National Sister day, but unfortunately she has not yet arrived.  We are, however looking forward to her arrival and will share our thoughts on social media.  She will make a great sister to the girls dolls [sorry babies] when she arrives!

This day I love National sister day

Now my eldest is at school this means I get some quality 1:1 time with both girls.  My youngest is not in nursery full time so a few days a week it is just me and her.  We have had so much fun together these past few weeks.  Making music

Hiding in boxes

and jumping back out again

We even get some quiet cuddle time

The girls miss each other though and it so lovely to watch them together at night time.

I love that I have one on one time with both girls.  It seems to be doing the girls good too as they are starting to appreciate each other more and you can clearly see a strong bond between them

This day I love music, boxes and cuddles.

There are certain moments in time that stay with you forever.  Some you cherish like the first time your child says Mama or the time you see those two pink lines and others you would rather forget.  A moment in time is one which can change in an instant. All is fine and well one moment and the next everything changes.  There are times when some moments you feel so down that the world seems such a dark place but in an instant it all changes when something just makes you smile.

Moments are such funny things, hard to explain and some easy to forget.  Capturing moments can be tricky too, how many of us have the actual footage of the very first time our child took their first steps?  Its a moment often taken by surprise.

I captured a very special moment today between my girls.  I don't know how, guess just in the right place at the right time.  Its an image that although not technically perfect is an image I love and a moment of love between my daughters.

We were sat waiting for our Baby Sing and Sign class to start both girls sat waiting excited on the carpet beside me, and this happened:

a moment between sisters

I do not know what was said between them, or what they did but they both just started laughing.  A special moment between two sisters that only they understand.  A clear sign that a bond is forming between them, a moment of love and happiness.

This day I love moments.
