My youngest daughter loves her babies and she loves to take care of them. She dresses them every morning before school, often before getting herself ready and every night she gets them ready for bed. She keeps telling me she wishes she was older so she can be a proper Mummy. When we got out more often than not we have at least one of her babies with us strapped into the car seat in the car, or in the pushchair when we go for a walk.

To aid her in looking after her babies she now also has a BABY born Wash Basin Water Fun. The BABY born Wash Basin Water Fun allows her to wash her babies and get them clean too. Whilst she is at school Little Man has also taken a liking to the Wash basin, mainly because of the lights and sounds but also because it has real water in it too.

The sink takes a minimal amount of water to work, but it provides hours of fun and also needs batteries. The sink has a removable cup and small pink toothbrush. When you remove this from the basin you hear the noise of brushing teeth. Little Man finds this rather amusing. I do watch him closely the entire time he has the toothbrush as it is rather small because it is designed for brushing Baby Born teeth.

Of course once you have brushed your teeth then it is time to get a wash. By pushing down on the tap water comes out.

Even at 2 years old Little Man can apply enough pressure to make water come out of the tap. Without the plug in the water simply runs back into the basin bowl.

The plug is a little yellow duck, which again Little Man finds really easy to put into the plug hole. This then allows water to stay in the sink so you can then wash your baby.

Once finished you can remove the duck to let the water drain away. There is a handy towel to dry baby or yourself on. Little Man the likes to check he is clean in the mirror, which lights up and plays sounds.

The BABY born Wash Basin Water Fun appeals to both my son at 2 years old and my daughter at nearly 6, so I would say it has a good range of ages. I like that you can use it as a tool to show children how to get ready by brushing teeth and washing faces with the use of their toys. My youngest loves that she has somewhere that is just for her babies and I think Little Man likes the fact he has somewhere to play with water inside! Overall this is a lovely accessory for any child who likes taking care of babies!

When both girls were 6 weeks old I took them to swimming lessons. Both have had very different experiences. My youngest daughter has unbelievable confidence in the water, absolutely no fear and would happily jump in or dive underwater. My eldest daughter is confident in the water but up until very recently would not jump in or put her face in the water.

It goes to show that even with the same lessons every child is different but what both of my girls learnt from an early age was pool and water safety. They learnt what to do if they fell in the water, and how to be sensible and not run when it is wet.

For a variety of reasons Little Man has never had formal swimming lessons, but I have taken him to the pool and shown him the same safety techniques his sisters learnt. It does make me a little sad that I wasn't able to take Little Man swimming lessons, but we have still spent the same quality time together in the water.

- Children can be initially nervous of the water, baby steps and lots of praise will help them overcome a lack of confidence. Try taking them alone to just watch for the first time, then toes in next time and so on, along with lots of positive praise to help encourage them to take that first dip.

- Toys are a brilliant tool, they are such a good distraction for anyone who doesn’t normally like putting their face in the water or splashing. Toys such as the new Baby Annabell Learns to Swim doll are a great way to give children (and parents!) the courage to take those first steps towards swimming.

- Swimming is huge bonding experience. The learning process is a lot to do with trust and really builds a closer relationship between and parent and child. For this reason, try not to use your phone during lessons to avoid distractions.

- The younger you start swimming lessons the better. I took Summer from 3 weeks old. It is all about building confidence and awareness of the water from a young age. Swimming also helps with a child’s muscular development and is fantastic for understanding their physical abilities.

- Make good use of the equipment that’s there. Whether it’s armbands, noodles, or vests, use whatever your child is more comfortable with. I tend to do five minutes with flotation equipment and five without, this helps when they’re really young and still building confidence.

- Mix up who takes the child swimming. Whether its Mum, Dad, Grandparents etc. It’s good to go with someone they trust whilst getting used to swimming with different people

Baby Annabell learns to swim moves her arms and legs in the water and even floats on her back. First though water safety is important and my youngest had to inflate Baby Annabell's arm bands!

Baby Annabell loved swimming in the bath, and even made friends with Little Man.

After her bath it was time to get dry with her very own fluffy towel.

It is safe to say Baby Annabell is well looked after. The girls love that they finally have a doll they can take in the bath with them, and one that swims too!

The bond between the two girls grows stronger every day. They have moments when they fight, like all siblings do but for the most part they love each other fiercely. My youngest sees no difference between her and her sister, with 21 months between them she feels they are the same age.

The girls are very much opposites. One is extremely competitive and has to win [at everything] and the other wants people to be happy so would loose on purpose so the other wins. One loves everything pink and sparkly the other is less bothered. One eats everything, and the other is incredibly fussy. One loves to be outdoors and the other would much prefer to be inside.

Perhaps it is the opposites that unite them, they complement each other.

I asked them why they love each other and they both just replied because she my sister, and because I do. They miss each other terribly when they are apart and ask non stop when they will see each other again.

The girls and their brother have been playing nicely with a new sister, BABY born Sister Doll. The sister doll comes with everything you need to take care of her. The girls take it in turn to feed her with her bottle. Which also has to be carried in my changing bag at all times. Little Man has took a shining to this and also the hair brush. He tries to brush his own hair with it, whereas his sisters much prefer to do BABY born Sister Doll hair.

Clothes and shoes are also completely exchangeable across the BABY born range, which means our sister doll has a lot of outfits to choose already.

The BABY born Sister Doll has sparked lots of imaginative role play between all three of my children. BABY born Sister Doll is a little bigger than traditional dolls so Little Man is unable to run away as quick with her when he picks her up. The girls like this because they can catch him!

BABY born Sister Doll has started to come everywhere with us, and my youngest carefully packs a bag for her when we go out. She seems to have fitted in really well!!
