This day I love.......

Last Friday we were invited to a VIP event at Stockeld Park.  I have visited several times in the past with the girls and they always have a great time, it is beyond magical at Christmas.  It was a real privilege to be asked to attend and we were thrilled to be there for the launch of their summer adventure.

We arrived at Stockeld Park and my eldest immediately spotted the giant inflatable slide.  She could not be stopped and ran as fast as she could up to the top.  She loved it and kept going back for more.

One of my favourite parts is the giant air pillow and I would love one of my own if I had the space.  They are so much fun and both girls have a lot of giggles on them.  Oh and they are surrounded by sand.

The girls found some space hoppers laid around on the open grass.  The open space is perfect for running around on and generally having a good time.  We saw families having picnics and kids running around in the open space.

We had just enough time to tackle the maze before dinner.  Some cheeky gnomes had hidden some letters around the maze and this gave my eldest the opportunity to practise writing her letters.  Of course my youngest wanted to have a go too.

It was almost dinner time and we were still in the maze.  We needed a time machine to get us out quick, lucky for use Dr Who had left the tardis in maze and so we used this to get out.

We had a wonderful BBQ sat on the grass in the sunshine.  My eldest wanted to sit on a space hopper to eat but soon realised it wasn't working well.  After our dinner we went for a walk around the Enchanted forest and played in the play ground.

We love the enchanted forest and could quite happily spend a day in there.  With fairy doors, interactive trees, Rapunzel and play grounds there is something for everyone.

The girls still had a little bit of energy left so we played in the Farmers playground, which has so much for the girls to play on they were spoilt for choice.

We have visited Stockeld Park several times in the past and every time we go we find something else to explore and play with.  It really is a magical place that the girls love and as they get older they get to discover more.  We will certainly be visiting again.

One of my first posts when I started this day I love, was about our visit to Stockeld Park.  I have longed to take the girls back as we had such a lovely day out.  I saw that Mr Bloom would be visiting this bank holiday weekend and I knew the girls would want to go.

My youngest was around 5 months old last time we went and I don't think she really took much in.  This time she was amazed by everything.  Normally she eats everything but she was so interested in watching the skaters she forgot about lunch

My eldest loved the skaters too, although she did find it funny when people fell over.

The girls were very intrigued by the huge inflatable air pillow, if I am honest so was I.  It wasn't long before we were all on there and having a rather good time.

It was almost 2pm, which meant we had to leave the giant air pillow to go and see Mr Bloom.  I have had a chat with the husband to see if we have the space for a giant air pillow and he is looking into it.

We headed over to the large field for the show and it was packed.

Not to worry, it was a lovely day and so we got ourselves comfy.  The girls got on our shoulders and whilst we waited, I thought it would be a good idea to test the flip out screen of my Panasonic Lumix TZ55 and take a family picture.  Well it sort of worked

So I tried again only this time my youngest decided she wanted down, right at the moment I pressed the button.

She is a little cheeky chops!

I got the zoom ready on the camera, not expecting much but was totally amazed by the pictures I took.

The girls loved watching Mr Bloom, although my youngest calls him Mr Tumble [she gets them mixed up!], they are both huge fans and haven't stopped talking about Mr Bloom and his Vegetables.

Last time we came I don't remember seeing the play area, which was absolutely fantastic.  The girls wasted no time in having some fun

It took some convincing/bribing the girls to leave the playground but the Enchanted forest was calling.  I love the magical walk around the forest.  There is so much to see and do and its truly magical.

We could not come all this way to Stockeld Park without visiting the Maze.

We actually did the maze quite quickly even if we had to stop and say hello to all the gnomes on the way round.

We reached the centre and stood to watch the globe and listen to the facts about the world.  I tried to take a family picture with our reflections in the globe.

I think it kind of works?  We had such a lovely time today, the girls have seen and done so much.  I don't think anything can summarise today better than my youngest in her Mr Bloom hat eating ice cream

This Day I love a blooming good time

I have not been asked by Stockeld to write a review.  I paid our entry fee into the park and have not received any compensation to write this post.  All images taken in this post are with the Panasonic Lumix TZ55 which I am testing as part of my Panasonic Mum Ambassador.  Opinions on the photos and camera are my own.

Today I had my nephew with me for the day.  I have been looking forward to this for sometime as my daughter really loves spending time with her cousins and it's always nice for me to listen to her laugh and giggle and to have someone for her to play with closer to her age.

I decided to take them to the enchanted wood at Stockeld Park.  I had never been before but it looked to cater for both a 2year old and 5 year old.  I wasn't disappointed.  Whilst some activities such as the ice skating and skiing had minimum age restrictions on them others like the enchanted wood didn't.

We spent the morning in the maze which neither child had done a maze before.  There were 4 different points to find in the maze and lots to keep the children amused as we were going round.  It was great fun and we only got lost a few times!  It was even pushchair friendly this made it even better for us.

After lunch we had a walk round the enchanted forest and it really was beautiful.  There were loads of different sculptures, lights and things for the children to see and do as we walked round.  The walk was quite long for my 2 year old but she still really enjoyed it.  There is a variety of different things for the children to interact with and I was particularly impressed with the lake which is just stunning.

We watched the ice skaters and had a look at the pumpkin patch before heading home.  Both children asked to come again and my daughter who is normally a terrible sleeper was in bed fast asleep by 7.30pm!  Overall a thoroughly enjoyable day, I can't wait to take them again, maybe at Christmas when Santa is there.

This day I love enchanted woods.

I visited Stockeld Park as a paying visitor and have not been asked by them to write this, I simply enjoyed my day and therefore wanted to write and share my experience.
